  1. I'm so over Johnny Weir. EVERYONE knows he likes cock, but the only reason he's in the news anymore is because he won't come out.

    He's Clay Aiken on skates.

  2. I'd like to put Johnny Weir in box. A sound proof one. That way the only person who actually likes to hear Johnny speak will be the only person listening.

  3. I'm sick of blogs and websites posting news snippets about him just so they can dog him for not being out enough for them yet. Like he's really in. It's his business if he doesn't want to reveal all about his sex life. I'm fricken tried of the bitching about him supposedly being in the closet (what a joke), and the obsession over who he has sex with. Perhaps his views on sexuality are a little more complex (maybe he's sexually attracted to one gender/emotionally attracted to another) and he wants to wait for the proper medium to talk about things in his own words, his own way instead of going for a big, splashy "I'm gay" media reveal. It's his right to say nothing at all.

He's got a lot of things on the go career-wise with fashion and skating. Go buy a ticket to a show and watch him perform and enjoy it. If you don't like him, move on. Enough with this "he needs to come out" obsession. It's not Johnny who is repeatedly harping on this it's every other friggen person.

  4. He needs to come out publicly, jim (you're closeted, right?). And if you disagree, then you're worse than hitler.

    Posted by: TANK | Aug 29, 2010 10:54:18 PM

  5. Whatever Tank and no I'm not closeted. He's so creative and talented and willing to work hard to contribute in so many other avenues. He's a great athlete and performer. If people don't like him then they should stop writing or talking about him. He's so casual about his sexuality and interests referring to himself as "we" and "the gays" in the same sentence often with complete comfort and ease. He shows no qualms about his homosexual leanings on his show. It's like he's so comfortable he doesn't even think about what has to be said publicly as long as he knows what he knows and is happy in his own life.

However he's never shown any interest in connecting his sexuality and sex-life to his athletic and performance career and why should he? Why does that connect? What right do people have to continue to trust it in his face and then bash him when he doesn't say what they want? He's got a lot to offer and I enjoy him as an athlete and now a performer. If you don't like him and don't agree then MOVE ON!

Johnny doesn't have to ever say anything ever and it would be his right. However I've heard him say in interviews several times that he will address these issues in his book in his own words and doesn't want reporters or journalists to twist or interpret anything for him. And if there is interest and financial motivation to hold out for his own writing then good for him. Why should a magazine benefit financially over him talking about very private sexual issues when it could be himself? People need to move on. He'll talk about it when he's ready. I'm so over this.

  6. Wow! Them's a lot of words that I'm never gonna read 'cause I don't give a care. You're worse than HITLER! HITLER!

  7. k. seig heil.

  8. Johnny Weir has publicly implied that Evan Lysacek is a closet case, on more than one occasion. You don't get to pull that shit when you're still half in the closet yourself. He's an insufferable, pretentious little asshole.

    Posted by: Clay | Aug 29, 2010 11:40:42 PM

  9. Actually to be truthful Johnny winked on Chelsea's show at a time when he shouldn't have and the media had a field day. It was a stupid wink but I do believe it was a mistake and he immediately tried to back pedal. He's said many times he was trying to be cute with her and it was unintentional. It was everyone else that concluded what they wanted to about that.

That's nowhere near as bad as Evan saying what he did about Johnny over his twitter. That was plain retarded. And there's a huge difference between being closeted and even "half in the closet" and just not revealing details about your sexuality to the media. I don't think Johnny even HAS a closet... especially when it comes to his friends and family.

  10. Seriously if there's anything I can't stand it's know it all gays who think that just because they are out and want to shout it from the rooftops to everyone who will listen all the details about their sex lives that they have the right to bash others who do not. You aren't a public figure like Johnny is. He's not the devil just because he doesn't want to reveal the dicks he's sucked to moron magazine writers. Subject is beyond tired. That picture of him his fucking BEAUTIFUL though! He's prettier than I realized.

  11. He has sex with himself.

    No kidding?

I love how he says this as if it was some sort of radical theoretical construct that will change the way we think about sex forever. Sorry, Mr. Weir, but you aren't exactly a Charles Darwin (or even an Alfred Kinsey). It is called masturbation. And it has been around for a while now. Congratulations, you have boldly gone where every man has gone before.

  12. john i missed the part he claimed he was the only one who ever masturbated. seriously

    Posted by: lovenme | Aug 30, 2010 12:05:05 AM

  13. I'd pay a shit ton of money to be a spectator for the "sex with myself." He really should have gone in for that masturbation movie. That fucker woulda sold BIG.

    Posted by: Fug | Aug 30, 2010 12:07:08 AM

  14. no matter how hard i try i can't hate this arrogant, pretentious little pip mostly cause i think he'd be a mindblowing power bottom in the sack. He said in a radio interview once it's gotta be dirty for him and the dirtier the better. That's another reason there. I'm always torn between wanting to shake him and bend him over and spank the hell outta him.

    Posted by: F u2 | Aug 30, 2010 12:18:21 AM

  15. Having sex with other people is "old school" and putting people inside a box. While masturbation is totally non-conformist and outside the box. That's some serious post-modern, pseudo intellectual bullshit right there. I don't normally comment on celebrity stories. But a simple 'no comment' or 'none of your business' would have suffice. Even for a graduate seminar, this would be pretty pretentious tripe.

    SERIOUSLY.

    Posted by: John | Aug 30, 2010 12:52:31 AM

  16. Seriously!? He was offered to do porn? Eww. I'm more willing to spend money to see Tank and Jim in one room having the conversation they are having above.

    Posted by: Dev | Aug 30, 2010 1:56:49 AM

  17. Oh, Johnny, what's old-school is being all post-gay don't-label-me bullshit when anyone could see you're gay from Mars. He can be in or out of any box he wants, he's not writing laws, it's irrelevant, but it just comes off--unbeknownst to him--as silly immaturity. Grown ups with real relationships need to be out because it's the only way to fight for our equal rights. You may not put yourself in a box, honey, but the government and society does. Something the beyond-gay kids will learn soon enough.

  18. I hate Johnny Weir not for the fact that he is closeted but for the fact that he has been *so* cavalier about the fact that animals have died so he can wear something considered fashionable. Fuck him with a red hot poker.

  19. Who is Johnny Weir?

    Posted by: wehotom | Aug 30, 2010 7:56:29 AM

  20. I'm still a bit confused why anything about Johnny Weir is important. It appears that he has chosen to make his behavior and sexuality as a way to keep his name in the news - and it seems that there are many who are more than willing to accommodate him.

    Posted by: Dillon | Aug 30, 2010 8:45:13 AM

  21. "If you only watched Fox News last week, you wouldn't even know about Ken Mehlman's coming out."

Gee, finally a reason to watch Fox News - I would have totally missed Mehlman's publicity stunt and cry for attention.

    Posted by: Dillon | Aug 30, 2010 8:48:47 AM

  22. louie...I agree with the notion that it's not necessary for anyone to shout from the rooftops. I disagree with the rest of your post. I'm not a Weir fan. I'd respect him more if he'd just shut up. For someone who doesn't want to be boxed in and labled, he willingly puts himself in situations where he knows he's going to be questioned about his sexuality. He's not playing coy. He's not concerned about what journalists are going to do with his answers. He's merely attempting to stay relevant. He's a media-whore and he loves every second of this attention. He's a walking contradiction and I wished that he'd just go away.
