Sharron Angle Questionnaire Puts Nevada Senate Candidate's Anti-Gay Views on Record

Nevada Tea Party candidate Sharron Angle has already been tied to an extreme homophobic flyer put out by the party she attached herself to in the 90's — Nevada's Independent American Party. The flyer labeled gays 'sodomites -- child-molesting, HIV-carrying, Hell-bound freaks'.

Angle Now, Angle's personal positions on a variety of issues have been recorded on an AP questionnaire given to the candidate.

They report, along with a slew of other positions:

Among her positions, outlined in answers to 36 yes-or-no questions, Angle would oppose making sexual orientation a protected minority in civil rights laws. In a section on school prayer, she affirms that students and teachers should be able to talk openly about religion in schools, including the right to "publicly acknowledge the Creator."

...

On adoptions, Angle believes children should have a relationship with a mother and a father, and she believes education should be managed at the local level "not by bureaucrats in Washington," Agen added.

Angle also said she would refuse campaign contributions from any company that supported gay rights, the Washington Post notes: "Angle's position is striking. It's one thing to oppose gay marriage, or to oppose equal rights for gays. It's quite another to refuse to accept campaign contributions from a company that chooses of its own free will to support gay rights or extend benefits to partners of its own employees."

  1. Someone needs to stick this bitch in a time machine, and send her back to 1910. Maybe a decade of not having civil rights will give her some insight into what a hateful unchristian person she is.

  2. Well, I think the scary part is the delusion suns so deep that nothing will clue her in as to just how hateful and unchristian she is. :-/

  3. Someone needs to investigate her donors to make sure she's a hypocrite. Because she surely is.

  4. I hope she catches fire.

  5. I hope anyone who thinks Harry Reid should not be reelected will see that not only is he on our side, but, this is our alternative.

  6. Anyone know if the local Target store has contributed to her campaign?

  7. Well, Harry Reid is ahead in the polls now. Reid and the Democrats are unpopular in the country, so the early polls probably showed that people weren't for Sharron Angle, they just didn't want Harry Reid. As voters become more aware of her positions they will likely turn against her.

  8. Does she count by striking her hoof in the dirt? She's disgusting. Not only because she's so blatantly stupid, and she is that, shockingly so, but because she's so non-informed on top of it. It's like she doesn't care that the earth isn't flat, that the sun doesn't revolve around the earth, she simply doesn't care about reality. It's inconsequential to her.

The only good news is, I'm hearing from friends in Nevada that they are all starting to hate her, even many Republicans who think the bitch is simply a step beyond anything even they can support.

  11. She's not going to win. Reid has a commanding lead in the polls over her, and she can't bring herself out of his tailspin, thankfully.

"It's one thing to oppose gay marriage, or to oppose equal rights for gays. It's quite another to refuse to accept campaign contributions from a company that chooses of its own free will to support gay rights or extend benefits to partners of its own employees."

Yeah, it's called being consistent...which is what a lot of antigay fucktards are. And it's no more a compliment than that hitler was a vegetarian is an insult.

She's going to attend as Mrs. Claws.

  13. Harry Reid is just as homophobic as she is. He just doesn't say so in public, but his actions in the Senate prove it.

Nevada voters deserve a strong third party candidate. Angle and Reid are execrable options.

  14. "Harry Reid is just as homophobic as she is."

Simply not true. Reid's record, while hardly perfect, is nowhere in her homophobic league, and he is by far the better option than this tea party nutcase.

  15. I live in Nevada and am sick over the horrible choice we have. I will not vote for Angle, but I can't say I'm pleased to have Harry Reid as the other option. "None of the above" is also a ballot choice in our state and I have a feeling it will be getting a lot of votes!
