Watch: Rachel Maddow on FRC's Anger Over Amtrak's Gay Ads

The Family Research Council is very mad at Amtrak's decision to market to the gay community, and is particularly mad because the federal government subsidizes Amtrak.

  1. “ of the most serious public health threats in America.”

Oh my fucking God. Reaching much?

I’d say we’re continuing to win the fight if these increasingly shrill and desperate statements that these bigots belch out are any indication.

  2. This is one instance where I think we're giving the power to the Family Research Council. We need to ignore them or else we're doing they're work for them, raising them from a stupid fringe group to a potent special-interest group with the ear of the national media.

  3. Someone needs to make a TV show where all they do is accuse ultra anti-gay people of being gay. I bet that'd stop the anti-gay attitude quick!

  4. "one of the most sreious public health threats in America."

I'm thinking they need to be made to prove that or be sued for libel/slander/defamation.

  5. I agree with Jexer, this is hate and fear propoganda along the lines of the Nazis telling everyone that Jews were like rats, that they had disease in their hair, etc.. sure we laugh about it and I'm sure people did back then too but back then it actually led to a final conclusion for many jewish and gay people...if they are allowed to tell people that being gay is a serious health threat to an entire country then whats to stop someone in the future from eradicating the problem.....again.
