Watch: Video of Arrest of Nikolai Alekseev, Gay Activists in Moscow


Yesterday I reported that leading Russian gay activist Nikolai Alekseev had been arrested in Moscow at a protest against Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, planned before Alekseev's harrowing weekend abduction by authorities. Alekseev and several other activists, who were also arrested, were protesting the mayor's use of the word "faggot", which a court had ruled was not hate speech.

  2. Bravery that no money can pay. I really hope they don’t end up harming him or worse. His only protected by the attention of the media, nothing else.
