This is essentially a mash-up of the last two years of Lollapolooza…

…except I just noticed Scissor Sisters neatly tucked in there on Saturday, and now I’m jealous.

I’m not really thrilled with the headliners… and Kanye is almost a deal-killer, but thankfully he’s on Sunday so I can just leave early and beat traffic.

But there are some good bands during the day… Scissors Sisters, Empire of the Sun, The National, Chemical Brothers. Should be another fun Coachella weekend.

This is basically a mix-mash of ’08-’10 Lollapalooza. Some really good bands, but nothing real special here or noteworthy…

I’m gonna wait until the Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo lineups come out and then decide which one to go to this year.

I’m surprised that Scissor Sisters got such low billing. A (London) Suede reunion is interesting, and I love most of their albums, but they and some of the other bands in the larger font certainly aren’t as well known as SS to the Coachella demographic, which skews toward those under 30. Same with New Pornographers and !!!.

And among the third-tier bands on Sunday, I’ve heard of 3. For the fourth tier, 1.
