Watch: Lawrence O'Donnell on NOM Defector Louis Marinelli

Last night, Lawrence O'Donnell posted a powerful piece on NOM defector Louis Marinelli in his "rewrite" segment highlighting Marinelli's change of heart over the course of his summer bus tour with the anti-gay marriage organization.

  1. I salute Mr. Marinelli and his courage to change his mind, sever ties with NOM, and to state so publicly. The act was heroic.

  2. I applaud his change of heart, but he still has a lot to learn. From his blog:
"Homosexuality without doubt carries with it an increased risk of certain serious health issues."

"Without a doubt"??? Pregnancy is risky, but no one says that heterosexuality carries risks of serious health issues.

  3. @Scott: let's not forget Chlamydia, syphillis (the luuuuv disease), herpes, and even HIV that straights pass on to each other. And then there are parents like Fred Phelps, Maggie Gallagher, Ric Santorum, any number of straight pederasts, rapists, warmongers, murderers, etc. Heterosexuality is obviously a dangerous lifestyle. These people are recruiting again and I don't want their toasters.

  4. why do people state he's heroic? Even with him changing his stance he's hardly heroic.
