Tom Hardy: I've Never Had Sex with a Man, 'Doesn't Do It For Me'

Warrior star Tom Hardy graphically denies the gay rumors, but would rather they exist than nobody talks about him.

From an interview in UK Marie Claire:

This much candour makes you wonder whether Hardy ever regrets being, well, quite frank. 'I don't regret anything I've ever said It's just a shame things are misconstrued and I don't get the opportunity to explain.' Not even the time he said he'd enjoyed relationships with men in his twenties?

'I have never put my p-nis in a man,' is Hardy's characteristically direct response. 'Ive never had a c--k in my arse, and I have no f--king desire for it. If that's what you like, cool. But it doesn't do it for me.' He's irritated his words were taken out of context but concedes, 'one thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about'.

Discussion of Hardy's sexual past sprang to life last summer when the actor, then starring in Inception, was quoted by the Daily Mail:

"The 32-year-old Inception star, who is engaged to British actress Charlotte Riley, 28, and also has a two-year-old son with a former girlfriend.  But asked if he'd ever had any sexual relations with other men, the broody actor said: 'As a boy? Of course I have. I'm an actor for ****'s sake. 'I've played with everything and everyone. I love the form and the physicality, but now that I'm in my thirties, it doesn't do it for me. I'm done experimenting but there's plenty of stuff in a relationship with another man, especially gay men, that I need in my life. A lot of gay men get my thing for shoes. I have definite feminine qualities and a lot of gay men are incredibly masculine.'"

  1. Tom is a lovely guy. I him quite a few times. Hes quite down to earth and not at all 'Hollywood'. That picture is ironic, not serious or supposed to be 'look at me, im sexy'.

Nothing on his body is surgically enhanced, those lips are totally natural. He is a bit of a tease, but doesnt really understand why so many men find him attractive. He thought 'Bronson' would have put them all off!

  2. Bahahah! That's like someone asking you "do you hate your wife's cooking," and you saying "I've never thrown up anything my wife has cooked." IT'S MEANINGLESS! You can still hate her cooking without throwing up, the two are not mutually exclusive.

The correct answer should have been I have never had any kind of sex or intimate contact with another guy beyond a hug. Not, I've never been f'd in the arse. I haven't either, but I'm GAAAAYYYY!

  3. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I never have and still do not find this man attractive at all. To me his looks are repulsive and the hideous tattoos only detract more. He doesn't have enough personality, from what I've seen, read and heard to make up for his appearance. I don't think I'll ever understand the reasoning for defacing the human form with tasteless ink cartoons or "art", especially in indiscreet numbers.

Gay, straight or in between, even if readily available, I'll pass. I never even remember going through a bad boy phase that would find this guy good looking, even at two in the morning through the bottom of a beer mug.

  4. @Jason

As a "breeder" who has worked to promote gay rights for as long as I can remember, who was one of those "chicks" in high school that defended gay men...I take a shatload of offense to your comment.

In fact, when I hear things like that or anything @Rick says I become so hurt and offended and think back to all the times I allowed myself to be physically injured and/or humiliated just to try and do the right thing for my gay MALE friends. I wonder: was it even worth it?

Do you honestly believe for one second that straight women are sitting at home all a-flutter worried that Tom Hardy or Hugh Jackman are gay? That we're so gay envious that we secretly try to undermine an interview so that we get to "keep em on our team"?

Jesus Christ. How ridiculous! What am I 13? Do you think I believe I could marry Tom Hardy someday if it weren't for the fact that he is susceptible to the offer of a man blowing him occasionally?

I don't care who has sex with anyone else unless that person is in my bed. Beyond my own home...its none of my business.

Tom Hardy has a girlfriend who has to deal with people calling her a beard. If he is not gay it could be that he's trying to let people know that his relationship is real so that her feelings are taken into consideration. That is gentlemanly. I would expect no less from a gay man, either. Denials and no comments only have a place when there is no "significant other". When there is, they deserve to be recognized.

And, on a side note...he did mention waking up naked in bed with a dude back when he was on drugs. I wonder what he thinks happened in all the nakedness if not sex.

  5. Rin, ignore Jason. He's been here a while and always makes misogynistic comments.

  6. He's never had his cock in a man and he's never had a cock in his ass.

So he has had a cock in his mouth?

  7. @BOB R: It's comforting to see I'm not alone, never found him hot, never will. What exactly differentiates him from the generic gay for pay porn stars you see all around you these days? Muscular? Check. Tattoos? Check. An overreaching sense of manliness? Check. He just does nothing for me seeing as I could download a Michael Lucas porn movie and pretty much see men like him.

At least he's nice in real life according to an above comment because he comes across as one of those guys who try to be ultra macho which leads to them being uber-douchebags.

  8. Perhaps this is part of the marketing of his new movie "Warrior' the ultra macho Rocky wanna be which had a lousy opening week ( and that shot looks like it came from his Joe Gage movie audition...)

  9. Well, I don't care...I saw him in an interview on a British TV show where he was being questioned about his drug past. He clearly said that one night he woke up naked in a bed with another dude and there was blood in the sheets. He said he had no idea where the blood came from or what happened.

Two naked dudes, on drugs, in sheets. How the heck does he know whether or not a cocks been up his arse, as he puts it if he can't remember?

  10. This guy is beyond GROSS!! And who cares? he already earlier admitted to gay sex....but again....WHO CARES????? ~~YUCK~~

  11. His publicist probably let him know that in Hollywood gay actors are good for comic relief only----not leading men. Hence the, "I'm not really a poof" interview. Very sad in 2011.

  12. Whatever... I'd hit it. He rocked my world in Inception.

  13. SO DISAPPOINTED. retraction /'clarification' simply advance Hollywood-invoked damage containment on the two 'big macho man' movies he has coming out: Warrior and The Dark Knight Rises. Someone told him that his career in America is doomed unless he plays it completely straight. SAD.

  14. I don't think he's gay. Bi...maybe? I do think he's had some kind of man on man sex tho even if he wouldn't currently call himself bisexual. I say this based off of an interview where he described his drug past.

Not gay tho. Gay men with beards aren't generally as cavalier.

He's knocked up more than one chick that he chose not to be in a relationship with.

He was kind of a cad to women in the past which is not the type of thing Tom Cruise, John Travolta, or Hugh Jackman is known for.

  19. The incessant chattering and gossiping by certain members of the gay community about what someone did or didn't do sexually is not only sad but counterproductive to sexual freedom and expression.

  21. I think his first statement was honest and as an actor I am sure it's not uncommon. Actors have to be open and willing to explore LIFE.

His second response is more about his movie career and the fact that the media in it's thrist for scandal keep asking as if there is something to be uncovered.

Bottom-line is that there is nothing to see here and he should just stop answering the question.

  22. This guy gets in a snit every time he stars in a movie that is just released! Is this the third interview whereas he tries to convince his fan base, he is str8? If my memory does not fail me, he came out denyiing he was gay when another movie of his was released. However, it seems he did the 'Red Carpet' thing with his male co-star and they were seen doing the 'town' in London (gay bars?) and staying at the same hotel? I think he is a classic case of : "I think the lady doth protest too much?'

  23. I'm getting so old that I don't know who half of these people are without doing an internet search for them. Moreover, it's tiresome. The routine is the same. At twenty they flirt with their gay audience, at thirty they are playing dad to some arm-blonde's kids, at fity they are leering, and at 60 they are fisheyed old drunks playing grabbass on variety shows.

  24. Tom Hardy's response was very direct and explicit. Some may find it untasteful...while it may not be Grandma appropriate, it does show that straight men can now be very direct about what they like. The movement for equality has helped ALL people to be more open.
