“Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.”

Anyone recall the unltimate ‘class warfare’ which is more commonly remembered as the French Revolution?

    Just asking.

  2. Wavin' Dave says

Oy, will Eric Cantor have a busy evening and holiday tomorrow! He has an awful lot to repent for. “Republican Jew” is certainly an oxymoron. It’s good to see that Cantor has at least mastered the “moron” part.

  3. SteveC says

So according to these Republican morons the Tea Party are fine upstanding (corporately sponsored) citizens. Whereas Occupy Wall Street is a ‘mob’. I guess that makes me a mobster.

  4. Caliban says

The main difference between the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street is that OWS is a spontaneous grass-roots phenomenon while the Tea Party was an “astro-turfed” fake grass-roots organization created and funded by people like the Koch Brothers and promoted by Fox News. Go back to when the “tea party” was first getting started and you’ll see that Fox News was talking about the Tea Party before there even was such a thing. Fox promoted their events even when only a handful of people showed up and encouraged people to join under that umbrella. It was nothing more than a viral ad campaign to create what they wanted.

But because the OWS crowd is talking about regulation of the banking industry, Wall Street, and corporations, the corporately owned media (which is basically ALL of it) is doing everything they can to portray the protesters as idiots, Communists, hippies, lazy bums, and whatever else it takes to get the public to turn against them.

  5. Robert in NYC says

Of course, it’s only to be expected, Cantor’s party thrives on mob rule. The Tea Party scumbaggers aren’t about mob rule, a minority terrorizing the majority in their party. The TP isn’t even a legitimate party. Cantor is a sociopath like most in their party.

  6. April in Austin says

Funny. When it’s a white group it’s a righteous grass-roots movement. When it’s a (jeez, not even liberal)pissed off crowd of young people, dems, people of color or those horrible “poor people”, it’s a mob. Just like when african-americans “mob-up” and whites just have an “incident”. Goddamn, nothing ever changes. Curious how well-to-do repubs love playing the victim. But then again, people are generally stupid. Just look at the outcome of the 2010 elections. It’s like playing with a cobra and getting upset at a snake bite.

  7. anon says

Remember that Moore opposes both parties (along with Nader and Chomsky), so we’re talking really far to the left here. What’s Moore’s opinion of the Greek protests and bailout?? Does he know anything about it? Wall St. deserves a protest for the bailout it received, but these protesters go around to all G8 summits, Davros conferences and the like protesting the influence of international finance on politics–sort of like deadheads without the music. Their complaints are also very vague. What do they hope to achieve?

  8. walter says

cantor and the tea party held the government and the american taxpayers hostage with threat of shut down but according to him that’s o but occupy wall street is a mob. this man is totally clueless and needs to be looking for work after the next election.

  9. Steve says

Who’s afraid of this big bad wolf? Not I said Goldilocks… he’s too weak to be a wolf. I think he’s a sheep is wolf’s clothing. Baa, Baa, Baa.

  10. Redebbm says

Anything other than his well to do colleagues is a “mob” he praises the tea party but only because they were foolish enough to vote him in on a jobs platform and now he wants to ignore everyone when they yell jobs and he wants to cut the deficit with our Medicare and Social Security. Hopefully his smug face gets voted out. This man should have no say of public policy.

Also the people bashing Moore. You sound just as crazy as Cantor and Santorum. Please, you sound as ignorant and pandering as the Republican base.

Thank you Andy for bringing this very important part of our history to your
Readers. Gay rights are important to those of us who are gay but OWS is important ro the human race. Keep posting more of same.
