  5. I've decoded their squeaks and squeals. They were saying "Ooooh! There's a sale at Macy's! Hey, let go of my tail... awww man, this is so unfair."

  7. That was rad. It's a good thing they didn't come ashore in Japan.

  8. What a beautiful, spontaneous reaction by the people of Arraial do Cabo. Rather than standing around and mocking the dolphins as they faced death, these people became heroes and helped them. The saving of the dolphins will be long remembered in that town.

  9. Wow. Wish I could have been there to help do that. Dolphins are such beautiful creatures. Thank God there were people there to help send them back to deeper water. I shudder to think what would have happened otherwise. Wonder what makes them do that. Been reading about these instances more and more lately... :(

  10. How odd that the camera was filming before they beached themselves. Could some kind of electronic signal be causing them to react in this way?

  11. Cue the "what does this have to do with Gay" remarks in 5-4-3....

I for one LOVE Towle's sensibilities of what gets posted here. This was nature and the best impulses of mankind. It brightened my day, and I'm really glad Andy includes stuff like this from time to time.

  13. Just to shed a little light on one of the reasons dolphins do this...they often beach themselves and then maneuver back into the water to catch fish. I'm not saying that the people weren't heroic in their efforts, just that sometimes this is just nature doing its thing. Here's an example when people look but don't touch.
