In a 1:30 segment clip last night characterized mostly by nonsensical gibberish, Sarah Palin claims Barack Obama is bringing us "back to the days before the Civil War."

  1. It really freaks you out when she begins talking in tongues.

  2. This woman is a dumb----- you fill in the blanks. She needs to disappear!
Just can't stand her! Please no more air time for her!

  3. our "charters of liberty" spell out for us...

There's a new catch phrase I've not heard of.

Is that tea-party rooted? They use phrases like that and automatically believe they are patriots just for making up phrases like that.

  4. Back to the antibellum days. No one wants that
more than the GOP. What a dumb twit.

  5. If Obama is taking us back to the days before the Civil War, then wouldn't that mean he's returning blacks to slavery? White folks in the Deep South have been reliving the Civil War ever since they lost--they're the ones wanting to fly Confederate flags. They'd be THRILLED to return to the "good ole' days" of Dixie.

  6. Yes, IMMEDIATELY after the Civil War ended, everyone was suddenly, completely equal. (Stupid.)

  7. This pisses me off. How dare she speak about equality but does NOT support marriage equality. EFF YOU SARAH PALIN!

  8. Yes, that is so radical! Radicals are all for going back in time to a more unequal day and age. Obama especially wants to return to the good ole ways of pre-civil war thinking so that he can have himself put back into slavery. Radical dude! I just thank gawd we have Sarah to spell it out so clearly for us, I never would have guessed that this was Obama's plan.

  9. Has she ever heard of the Industrial Revolution--and the laws that our country created as a result of it to protect our citizens and nation from the unbridled greed from a handful of robber baron capitalists? IGNORANT.

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' --Isaac Asimov

  10. Of course she's never heard of the Industrial Revolution. She didn't know why North and South Korea were separate countries in 2008.

  11. You nailed it, Mark.

  12. Sarah, Sarah, Sarah......just when we think you can't get any dumber, you prove us all wrong. John Stewart must be jumping up and down with joy.

  13. Oh no, Sarah is going rogue again! They've spent the last three plus years painting the president as a marxist who wants to spread the wealth, now he's a pre-civil war elitist trying to divide people back into classes? Which is it? Spread the wealth or be my slave? It can't be both. If she were just your average dingbat without a following, she would be funny, but given her public platform to spout such nonsense and people dumb enough to drool at her feet, she is one scary b*#%h!

  14. Why is she wearing a Star of David?

  15. If you want to know what Republicans are really up to, you just have to listen to what they are accusing the Democrats, or anyone else they oppose, of doing. It's called projecting.

The above clip illustrates that very clearly. She's accusing President Obama of wanting to return us to pre civil war America. How she came to that conclusion is beyond me, but we're talking Sarah Palin here, so you can draw your own conclusions.

Meanwhile, in every State that is dominated by the Republicans, their legislatures and Governors are turning back the clocks on what was thought to be settled law concerning abortion and contraception, voting rights and civil rights, at an alarming rate.

You can see clearly who it is that is really trying to take America back to a distant past. When you hear them say they want to take "America Back", they aren't talking about taking it back from the Democrats, they are talking about taking it back to another time!

  17. These two should host the Wassilla Comedy Hour. I think she even left Sean speechless for once.

  18. WTF??? Her logic belies sensibility. The air was suddenly sucked out of the studio in which she was filmed.

  20. I guess the SNL writers had their job done for them this week - guest star, Tina Fey!

  22. Well well well, we now see some of the fruits of Sarah's two year long book-tour: She's hired a make-up artist and a hair person. (And did she have a bit of "work" done, too?)

  23. strategic stupidity to get her back into the public discourse again.

"A half black man wants to bring us back to a time when blacks were slaves" ??! Sorry, she's dumb but not THAT dumb. She's fame-whoring.
