A Russian Daredevil Bridge-Climbing Clip to Make Your Hands Sweat: VIDEO
Russian YouTubers have a habit of doing terrifying unsafe things from very great heights, and this clip definitely lives up to that tradition.
Watch (and don't look down), AFTER THE JUMP...

Nothing gay about this. He didn't even get boned at the end of the video.

He is cute. Too bad he's Russian. They lose their looks after 25. Both their men and women look the same as they age. One big peppery eyebrow across both eyes and skin like dried apple. Get 'em now while they're still supple.

Truly some of the stupidest people on the planet.

Dumb.as.hell.
Too bad they didn't fall.

What a f*cking moron. I hope he dies doing something like this very soon. I am tempted to associate this stupidity with the fact he is straight. I never hear gay boys so bored with life they have to risk it.

I don't understand why this vide is here, really, besides all the comments like they deserve to die, russians loose their beauty ( whatthefckIcarepervert, makes me sick, isn't this a place to promote and make visible the gay cause? WTF guys ???
Posted by: Marc | May 18, 2012 9:23:37 PM
Impressive, even if the effect is accentuated by the use of fisheye lens. On the other hand the boys look like drugs ate their brains away. They need to feel something. But can’t.

Some newbies still don’t catch what Towleroad is about. It isn’t, it wasn’t and it won’t be just about gay thingies.

The wide-angle of the GoPro camera definitely makes it look a lot farther up. The height of the Bridge to Russky Island is actually only 229 feet according to wikipedia. I've climbed up rock walls higher than that, although less exposure :)
PS. This video is here for the same reason we have to see/hear video of twinks singing Lady Gaga. I personally find this more interesting AND am gay. Life is too short to sit behind a computer and whine about things.

I can barely stand to cross the bridge in Half-Life 2; it's enough to make me anxious and queasy.

Um, sometimes Andy posts things that are just cool or weird or interesting or strange and some people (like me) enjoy seeing them and some people don't. So don't click on the link if you are not interested in the story and all of your problems will be solved. It's magic!

No matter how high up it is, it's a pretty stupid thing to do just to show everyone how cool they are.
We never see the videos where they fail/fall.

Can't watch...'fraid of heights.
(Seriously though, the comments on this blog remind me that us gays can be just as awful as the rest of the general population...)

Agreed with Zeddy - I'd rather see something like this than the ten thousandth video of some metro dudes jamming to another $h!tty Gaga song.

I was totally with them until they decided to get on the OUTSIDE of the arm of the crane.

It still surprises me the number of people who apparently have no clue that this site is not ONLY about gay issues. It never pretended to be. It says its a site with homosexual tendencies, not a site married to gay issues hehe. I love the diversity of this site, that Andy posts about all sorts of things that might also be of interest to us as people. I mean, god forbid that people who are gay may also be interested in things that are not solely gay-related. For those who say thats why they come here, for the gay stuff, well.. get a clue. Either accept the diversity of this blog or go somewhere that IS only gay stuff.
As for this video... heart in mouth stuff for me. Scary, stupid but kinda cool :) I know the fish-eye lens makes it look worse, but its still damned scary. Didnt seem to bother the guys at all though. Whether thats a good thing or not is another matter! hehe

Can. Not. Watch.
Even the still makes me queasy.

@Zeddy
I have been in psychotherapy near 20 years. I'm on a $hitload of drugs. I am sorry to hear you are more f*cked up than I am. I suppose however big a loser a straight guy appears to be, some gay guy wants to come along and prove he can be just as big a loser. Good for you. As they used to say in my day "Go climb a rock!" I'll see you next fall, and I'll be laughing my @ss off over the loss your loved ones feel.

Andy's got a great and varied blog here, heads up for: fags, killer whales, sissies, outer space, drag queens, new cars, oil spills, creeps, show tunes, butches, fems, flesh eating diseases, architecture, political asshats, trolls, Gaga, Robyn, Madonna, entities, non-entities, plain old titties, peters, disasters, investments, fasion, dance, straight-acting, Marines, men kissing, lesbians, sin, virtue and nasty words.
Plus the Real Rick, Mary, Kiwi, Ernie, David, impossible insults, outrageous claims, disreputable opinions. Welcome.

Some people aren't afraid of heights. I don't. This was stupid, but who cares? They're on a walkway, just on the idiot side.
Posted by: Paul R | May 19, 2012 3:37:46 AM
I would have joined them until they desided to walk the outside of that walkway, you never hear or see videos of the guys that fall.
i have a friend who is an adrenaline addict, those people play with their lives for a buzz but then again it is their lives to play with.

What a courageous guy. Enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for posting.

"I never hear gay boys so bored with life they have to risk it."
Every moment of life is filled with risk, a confluence of chances. There's no escaping that.
In any case, plenty of gay men unnecessarily risk their lives - they bareback.

I totes enjoyed the posting please people lets mix it up a little bit that being said oh I miss my youth and that was cray cray.
Posted by: hotbeef801 | May 19, 2012 9:23:51 AM
this was one of those posts that make towleroad the entertaining and informative blog it is. i am the first one to howl if a site the is intended to be by and for gays gets all egalitarian on my ass. this is not the case here, as has been discussed previously.
with that out of the way, i can can control an uneasiness about long drops up to a point, but then my reptile survival brain clicks in and all the logic in the world doesn't stop my nausea. i can't even walk out on something like the glass bottomed walkway over the grand canyon knowing it is safe. clearly viewing a video is safe, but once they swung out over the beam, i started getting dizzy and i had to click off before i threw up.
i can't even belly up to one of those floor to ceiling windows in skyscrapers. uh, thanks but no thanks.
