  1. Oh no, she didn't!

In addition to the pipes, you also need to have the emotional, reflective state of mind to do this song justice; and THAT, Celine has not.

  2. while i'm no fan of celine she certainly has a set of pipes. Chester, of Linkin Park also does an excellent live cover, it's on youtube. I was quite impressed.

  3. Amazing voice but damn, she is all kinds of crazy.

  4. She has a technically perfect voice, but all the soul of a Raggedy Ann.

  5. @Ian,

I think Linkin Park's cover was so much better. You can feel Chester's emotion which is not the case with Celine.

I am still waiting for Linkin Park to do a theme song for a Bond movie. How cool would it be if Adele & Linkin Park teamed up? Wow!

  6. I actually think she has a bit of dirt and grit in her voice for this performance...which is a nice change for her. And I always thought the best form of flattery was copying or paying tribute?! :)

  7. No thanks, I'll pass. Celine Dion makes me queasy.

  8. No thanks..Adele does it better...Celine sounds ..tinny.

  10. My heart will go on

  11. Celine has an awesome voice.... but you need to have a level of rawness and true emotional pain to make this song anything but a slog. Celine is too happy to sing it. That said... the Dirty Loops cover is not emotional like Adele's and I still love it.

  12. I don't think I've listened to Celine in this millennium - this isn't a fair fight to compare an engineered recording with a bootleg? live performance. I would listen to Adele first.

  13. No, no, no! You need to go to your local pub and smoke like tons of cigarettes and have several pints of beer, plus a dash of a really bad broken heart before attempting this song or it sounds like karaoke!

  14. Uh...No.

  15. no one can compare to celine dion

  16. I'm sorry folks, but this song is now stolen. Celine needs to get in the studio quick and lay this down for real.

  17. Celine has one of the best voices in the history of music. Just because she's technically "perfect" doesn't mean she doesn't have soul, she does and you can feel it when she sings.

Folks, you can love Adele and Celine too, it's not a competition. Grow up.

  18. No emotion whatsoever.

  19. blech. Couldn't get thru it.

Fine technically, I mean she can cleary sing the notes I suppose, but she has none of the emotion that makes it great.

  20. Just because a visual artist could render something in perfect detail doesn't mean they make art that resonates.

Celine hits the notes but not the heart.

  21. Just when I thought she had gone away for good, she's back with a remake! Ugh!

  22. What was that? The disco ho-down interpretation? Painful.

    Posted by: Mitch | Jun 12, 2012 12:33:19 PM

  23. Anyone who thinks Celine has no soul or feeling in her singing has never seen her perform live. She is beyond amazing.

  24. Loved it!

  25. So now Celine is a cover artist? Singing another famous artist's very recent hits is the sign of a career in decline.
