Minnesota For Marriage Suggests Gay Men Be Killed, Boycotts General Mills: VIDEO

Via Good.As.You comes this hateful Facebook from Minnesota for Marriage, a conservative group trying to prohibit marriage equality. Such groups often claim to be coming from a place from love, but this message about gay men being put to death proves otherwise. Voters, I'm sure, will be as revolted as LGBT allies, which means Minnesota for Marriage may be sealing their own electoral doom.

Meanwhile, in other Minnesota for Marriage news: the group made good on their threats and protested General Mills for the cereal company's pro-marriage equality stance. They claim a few hundred showed up, but Joe.My.God notes that there are far fewer.

Watch video of that protest AFTER THE JUMP.

  1. Dear Christians, every time your cite Levitical law you are actually making a statement that Christ failed in His sacrifice on the cross, and that His death was in vain, and completely unsuccessful. So, while you may enjoy citing Leviticus out of context, doing so only shows that you don't understand your own religion, or that you do in fact believe that Christ's death on the cross was a complete failure, and He didn't meet His destiny.

Sincerely, a Homo who actually studied theology and religion and knows what he's talking about.

  2. All this just days after two lesbians are shot in the head? (hate crime TBD)

I get free speech, but since when does providing the ammunition for hate crimes qualify?

  3. The passage actuals read like this:

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

And the interpertation is not the same as the one they put up as it requires understanding the full passage before and after to know it has nothing to do with homosexuality. This just shows how pathetic and disingenious these anti-gay hate groups are and how stupid people are to believe them. Someone should call them out on this.

  4. Paired with the item about the Texas Republican Party yesterday, all I can say is, at least they are being honest about their hatred. None of the love the sinner/hate the sin garbage.

  5. UPDATE: The post was done by a hacker.

"Good Morning - Last night our Deputy Campaign Manager, Andy Parrish's personal email, Facebook, and Twitter accounts were hacked by an individual who posted the Leviticus verse below. We are currently working with Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, and Apple to see who hacked Andy's account and who posted this message. Clearly we would never advocate for anyone to be put to death - We strongly believe that people are entitled to love whomever they choose, but they are not entitled to redefine marriage for all of society."

  6. If this was a hacker, why would they leave the post in place 12 hours later... I just can't beleive that's true.

  7. that "update" is hilarious.

"we believe everyone has a right to love whom they choose, except gays because if gays love each other then straight marriages are no longer special. because we straight people only got married to spite them gays"

    Posted by: LittleKiwi | Jun 27, 2012 12:45:35 PM

  8. I don't believe it was hacked. And last time I looked, more than 40 of their supporters had "Liked" it and many people left statements supporting the Biblical phrase.

  9. "Friends - We cannot remove the post from the hacker until Facebook's forensics team has identified the hacker. We are told they are close. We will remove it as soon as we can. We have also found out that US Senate Candidate Kurt Bills Facebook was hacked last night as well and hateful things were written as well. Thanks for your understanding - Andy Parrish, Deputy Campaign Manager. Minnesota for Marriage"

  10. "US Senate Candidate Kurt Bills Facebook was hacked last night as well and hateful things were written as well"

Is this admitting Lev. 20:13 is hateful?

  11. I can quote the bible too!
A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed.
    (Deuteronomy 22:13-21)

Some so-called Christians pick and choose certain biblical scriptures as “clobber passages” to condemn being gay. It is important to note the Bible was written by MAN and some passages “reflect the prejudice of the time” and not the inspired "Word of God."

  13. You go General Mills! I want to go out and buy Cheerios right now !

Completely agree with LITTLEKEWI. If Leviticus were followed most of the U.S. population would have to be "put to death". Who here has worked on a Saturday or Sunday ?. Those peeps don't like to quote Leviticus on Adultery either. But they love that homo verse... Anyone that wants to quote Leviticus should have to read it first and see how it is about a whole other time and culture. They also need to read and ponder John 8:3-11 about casting the first stone...

  14. yup. and the sheer theological-reality (oxymoron, i know) that Christ's sacrifice on the cross is supposed to have absolved "us" from following Levitical law.

every Christian that cites leviticus is thus saying that "Christ failde in His mission"

  18. These anti-gay Christian terrorist who advocate death for gay Americans are psychotic and insane. These anti-gay Christians terrorist need to be treated like any crazy terrorist who wants to kill Americans. These anti-gay Christians need to be arrested and put in prison and charged with the crime of inciting violence against LGBT people in America where we are all free to be gay. God Bless America, lets keep it free.

  19. According to Leviticus, "God Hates Fags" less than "God Hates Bacon." And if God really hates bacon.... then it's quite possible he got everything wrong.

  20. I do not worship Leviticus. meaning I do not stone my children to death for disobedience. Jesus was not yet born when that idiot made his pronouncements (which Christian idiots love to quote). I note, however, that there is not ONE quotation whereby Jesus is recorded as having said that gay people cannot marry each other or that marriage is ONLY between one man and one woman.I am not interested in what the 4 evangelists' OPINIONS are.....I am saying that those words never fell from the mouth of Jesus!

  21. Trash the bible it is filled with primitive rantings. It has been the source of suffering for untold hundreds of million down through the ages.

    Posted by: andrew | Jun 28, 2012 1:25:51 AM

  22. Teh biz about their facebook account being hacked - if it was, it was done by them for sympathy and to further demonize gay people

Same as the nazi pastor Worley, whose trick was to claim he was threated with death or bodilly harm.

Same old crap - they use their intellgence to hate in stead of finding reasons to love.

Religion much of is - is the utter curse of history. Just do a quick study of europe in the dark ages when the catholic church caballed with cathlic kings and there was zero social or economic progress for a millenia

But all kinds of bloodshed and wars.

    Diederot put it correctly........

Mankind will be free when the last king is strangled with he guts of the last priest

Kings are mostly gone, sharpen the knives re the priests.

  23. NOMs protest reminds me of their pix of a large soccer field filled with supporters a couple years ago

the fools forgot to photo shop out the signs that indicated it was the FiFA soccer championships in RSAfrica.

But dont underestimate the power of hate

Adolph hitler took oave a whole country ,elected as such............

Based on the catholic churches hatred of jews for a millenia.

And 55 million died for the church that claims to support life.
