Paul Ryan's Stump Speech in Iowa Disrupted by Hecklers: VIDEO

Ryanheckled

Paul Ryan was heckled relentlessly today as he tried to make a stump speech.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Mediaite reports:

...he barely got a chance to compliment a spectator’s “cool” Packers jersey and offer an anecdote about how awesome State Fair wrist band days are before the heckling began.

Caught off guard for a second by a couple of women right in front, Ryan regained his cool and told the rest of the crowd that the women must not be from Iowa or Wisconsin since folks from those states are kind and respectful. He then pointed them out to security guards who crossed the stage and dragged the struggling women out.

Ok, back to it, right? Not so fast. Moments later, another couple, a man  and a woman, began shouting for Ryan to “Stop the war on the common good!”

Ryan fans tried to cover the protesters with Mitt Romney signs as Ryan tried to talk over the noise.

In related news, remarks by Mitt Romney in Las Vegas in May suggest that Ryan would fail at passing Romney's list of requirements for those wanting to be President: "At a May event in Las Vegas, Romney enthusiastically told the story of man who proposed amending the Constitution to require all presidents have three years of business experience, a criteria that would disqualify his own running mate."

Ryan may have engaged in insider trading: "Republican Vice Presidential Pick Paul Ryan sold shares in a number of financial companies including Citigroup, General Electric, Wachovia, and JP Morgan Chase on the same day as then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke held a closed meeting with congressional leaders during the financial crisis."

  1. Anderson Cooper's marriage disrupted by cheating. Photo's of "fiance" kissing another man. (Hot guy too)

  2. How pathetic. Ryan is getting off to a bad start; he can't even speak to a crowd without sounding like a stand-up comedian that's struggling to save himself.

And the Fox Newspeople are talking about Ryan's "left turn" joke like it's some well-considered line, with groundless speculation about the protestors' identity.

I'ts enough to make you cry.

  4. So the economist joins the greed-ridden elitist to try and buy their way to the White House- What a team! Ryan will need to get fitted for his Magic Mormon Underwear soon! These sacred undergarments harness the power of the Almighty to cough up enough cash for their crusade to the highest seats in the land. See for yourself how these miracles are performed and how money plays its role in politics at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/05/mitt-romneys-magic-mormon-underwear.html

  5. The GOP vetting process is very simple: How cool would someone look pulling up in a 'vet. That's it. That explains SO much about Sarah Palin; hot momma in a Corvette. No brains needed. Paul Ryan; hot dude in a Corvette.

    They have been "Vetted".

  6. This guy is TERRIBLE.....how embarrassing. If Romney gets elected I am moving to Canada.

  7. Was Ryan a good choice by Romney?

Pro: Ryan is going to get attacked by Obama for his economic policies, but that still means the economy will the central battle ground. If the economy is the focus of the debate, it's bad for Obama.

Con: Like Palin, Ryan runs the risk of over-shadowing Romney. If it becomes a vote on Ryan's tax plan rather than a referendum on Obama's performance, it's good for Obama.

    Stay tuned.

  8. Ryan sure is a pretty guy with those sexy eyes but too bad that pretty head is filled with empty air. What an airhead! He's actually a perfect GOP VP candidate-brainless,clueless,spineless and BORING beyone belief! Perfect GOP VP candidate.

  9. The woman heckler was asking the right question.
WHAT ABOUT MY MEDICARE...did Ryan answer her...no!
On to Disneyland where he belongs!

  10. I wonder how people on here would react to an Obama rally being interrupted in a similar fashion... Probably lots of calls for arrests for trespassing and the like..

  11. 99% makes a good point about looks. In the last twenty-five years, we've had the following "hot" VP-picks:

    Quayle, Palin, Ryan.

Jack Kemp was hot in his younger days.

I can't remember if Gore was hot or not in 1992.

Some people thought Edwards was hot. I thought he was just skeevy.

  12. Mitt called him "intellectual" to hide the fact that he chose him to attract women and gay votes.

  13. Good lord, he's not even THAT handsome. Only in comparison to other Republicans.

  14. Ryan seems like another dull white guy- I mean could Rommney have at least shown some imagination and chosen a woman or a Latino. The GOP is out of touch with the real America.

  15. So, if I vote for Paulie...would I be considered a pedophile? Oh, he's not a minor?
Thanks for the head-up...because he sure looks like he might be. Boy...would I love a teenager in the white house...ready to assume the presidency if Mitt gets a case of Mormon-ey and wants to take up on a better offer. I guess at 60, I want a man in there...not a cute boy.

  16. @Reppin2: The words of a "true patriot": "If Romney gets elected, I am moving to Canada". Your love of our country, really runs deep. LOL!

  17. He has poor oractory skills. Watching him speak is awfully boring.

  18. It was at the soap box of the Iowa State Fair. Anyone can speak there and may even be heckled. What authority does he have to remove people who heckled him?

  19. The women were asking about their Medicare because the Democrats are not telling the truth about his plan. Even the Vice President has it wrong, his plan will not effect anyone over 55 unlike the Obama Healthcare which steals 800 billion right away to pay for his plan.
