Cher And Kathy Griffin Know Mitt 'Turns Back Time' For Women: VIDEO

Cher and Kathy Griffin have always been devout, unwavering LGBT allies. But their activism, as everyone's should, extends into other, related realms, like the Republican Party and their presidential nominee Mitt Romney's archaic efforts to overturn women's rights, including access to run-of-the-mill health care at placed like Planned Parenthood.

In a video included AFTER THE JUMP, the divas tell it like it is to remind voters that Romney and company aren't just against LGBT equality, but are against women, as well.

  1. You DO realize Republicans are going to love this. Right?

  2. This was so funny and yet not overtly partisan. I loved it! And I actually LOLed in real life.

  3. Great message, great video . Love em both. But did you notice that Cher never cracked a real smile? Not trying to be rude here, but her face is kind of frozen now.
Who cares? Thanks Cher and Kathy.

PS - Still wondering why all the top gay websites are not pushing harder how important it is that each gay citizen to make sure they vote. THIS is the election of their lifetime.

Any homosexual that does not vote on Nov 6 or votes for Mitt Romney is not a self respecting human being.

To all the top gay sites... "EVERY LGBT MUST VOTE ON NOV 6" start using that headline.

  4. it was very funny, they need there own show. what a great thing that would be

  5. Yes, Jason: This is just another example of women's wish to control men, Cher is a homophobe, and Kathy only wants us for the money. Got it. Saved you the time of writing.

...Anyways...lol, I love them both. Both are so funny, caring and talented. Two great women!

  6. Ummm Max...Cher didnt crack a smile because it wasnt funny. Did you see her furrrowed forehead and eye brows? Her face moves when it needs to. This was "serious" Cher. Duh.

  7. ".... And, God bless America." LOL

  8. "But did you notice that Cher never cracked a real smile? Not trying to be rude here, but her face is kind of frozen now."

That was vintage Cher, straight from the "Sonny and Cher Show". She's reacting to Kathy exactly the way she used to react to Sonny back in the early 70's. No expression other than an aloof "Get a load of him/her" look.

  9. Kathy's been hanging off of Cher like a leech ever since they became friends. Now she's Cher's lapdog and sucks up to her all the time. It's so annoying.

    Posted by: Dumb | Nov 3, 2012 2:00:55 PM

  10. Uh,the stuff where Kathy was annoying Cher was staged for comic effect. Don't you think that had Cher really been pissed off, she would have walked off set or insisted that it be filmed again or edited differently?

  11. This was BRILLIANT - and Cher looks FANTASTIC !!!

  12. I like this, and I was going to anyway. I can;t make them vote a certain way, but i can at least inform them of this issue.

  13. Cher is the perfect straight man for Kathy.

"I'm a regional icon." Best line of the bit.

  14. Isn't this the same Cher who thinks anti gay, anti women, anti abortion preacher Joel Osteen is great ?

Isn't this the same Kathy Griffin who outed Clay Aitken nationally on TV when he has just a kid just so she could sell more tickets to her shows ?
Incidentally, she DID NOT out her close friend Anderson Cooper because he was a useful show business contact for Kathy to use (and he's rich !).

Isn't this the same Kathy Griffin who posed for photographs with Chris Rock to promote her broadway show just hours after he said it was OK for Tracy Morgan to say he would stab his gay son in the belly for being gay ?

If these are our allies then it's really no surprise we don't have equal rights.

  15. Cher is almost as rich as Mitt Romney. Kathy Griffin is, well, Kathy Griffith. They are celebrities who are not welcome to speak for me, thanks.

As for how they look, how pathetic. Cher looks as if she's had umpteen procedures. I wonder if her whole head is real. Both her and Kathy also looks as if they have a hair fetish. They need a haircut, basically.

    Go away, silly girls.

  16. Please, let's keep this female horror show away from us. Surely there are better role models for us. How about some MALE role models with a bit of normalcy in how they conduct themselves.

Cher needs to be prodded with a warm spoon to see if her face melts.

  17. Loved it!!! Thanks Cher and Kathy!

  18. Damn, everybody, lighten up and back in your kennels girls. I don't see you walking children in nature.

    Posted by: MikeSin | Nov 3, 2012 8:42:42 PM

  19. Jason, they're speaking for women's rights not for you, so you don't have to worry this time. Oh, I forgot, women aren't allowed to speak at all on any subject in your world.

    Posted by: Brian | Nov 3, 2012 8:56:20 PM

  20. ok, you guys that are picking on Cher and Kathy; they may not be perfect, but they do stand up for us in a very articulate and positive manner and speak from their heart.. Kathy Griffin has done alot of advocating and fundraising for gay events and issues

  21. If they turned back time they wouldn't be there. It's all plastic surgery. I love them both but last election Cher said Obama would be "off at the knees"

  22. Markus Jason - Go away, silly girls.

    Posted by: Harold | Nov 3, 2012 11:42:05 PM

  23. ...Did some of you not watch the video? They are addressing misogyny, women's rights, and equal access, as well as emphasizing the differences between Romney and the other candidate(s).

In light of that I'd say there's a lot of derisive misogyny here in the comments alone. "Silly girls"? Implying they're only out to profit? Their personal opinions of people and past actions are questions of their judgement, not the message they're presenting.

There is no reason to criticize their appearance, their relevance, or presumed motives. The only part that applies to the viewer is to be informed, go out and vote, and encourage others to do the same.

  24. They should not kick a man when he is down. Mitt's campaign has totally collapsed. His chance of winning is approaching zero at 16% according to Nate Silver.

    Posted by: simon | Nov 4, 2012 1:34:50 AM

  25. And for all of you gays out there thinking Cher supports us - Chaz Bono said Cher didn't speak to her for a week when she came out as gay and didn't speak to her for a YEAR when she came out as transgender. Chaz had to find support in her father's side of the family.

Cher was CREATED by gays. She was made rich by gays. Her outfits/hair/make up/videos are created by gays. She has been surrounded by gays for the past 40 plus years. For someone who is so dependent on us and who has been around us long enough to know we are not evil or a threat she is DISGUSTING to turn her back on her daughter like that. NO EXCUSES for her. She is just another self absorbed pile of s%it who has lived an over privileged lifestyle for too long and has lost touch with reality.
She is a DISGRACE to the term "mother". She is no friend of ours - she, just like Kathy Griffin, is only interested in our money.
