  1. Please does this have to be posted here!? I can't forget about this horrid man quickly enough. Romney in many ways embodied everything wrong with the modern world: the naked corporate greed of companies that don't actually produce anything, but just manipulate capital to turn huge profits and cost people their jobs...the easily manipulated culture of media and spin, and being able to stand for whatever was most helpful to his election chances...and the destructive arrogance of religions that promise ever increasing rewards in some preposterous afterlife at the cost of ignoring this planet's real issues. (Islam gets you 27 honey coated virgins, Mormonism an entire planet of your own)

  2. That smarmy look on his face makes me sick to my stomach.

  3. @ECHTKULTIG I second that.

  4. Though the words weren't bad, Romney's delivery of his concession speech reaffirmed why I can't stand him. It was like watching an alien try to mimic human emotion, that creepy "starring Hugh Beaumont as Mitt Romney" thing he does- a 2nd rate sitcom dad with a soothing voice and phony smile. I didn't buy it for a second.

Remember in the movie Blade Runner how the only way they would tell if someone was a "replicant" was to give them the "Voigt-Kampf" test, basically a lie detector test that showed they weren't capable of real emotional responses? Mitt Romney failed- he's a replicant.

  5. As crappy and shallow as any corporate meeting speech I have ever had to endure

  6. I don't think he was a bad man, just the wrong man and I'm glad he's gone.

  7. How many lives does one have to destroy or attempt to destroy before he counts as a bad man? I remind you he's the only Republican presidential candidate in history to have donated money specifically to an anti-gay cause.

  8. Caliban, you nailed it.

  9. We'll have to agree to disagree, UFFDA. I said early on I thought Mitt Romney is a sociopath and I still believe that to be true.

It wasn't any one thing, it was the accumulation of things that kept piling up. Things he'd done and things he said.

  10. The weird thing about this speech is that I think he would have given pretty much the same one had he won. He's not really human.

  11. Thank you AMERICA for electing a decent caring man again.

  12. I agree. He's a smarmy, sociopathic CEO not capable of real emotion. Glad to see his wooden a55 smile and phony voice GONE. He was completely out of touch the entire time, even refusing to write a concession speech until the last minute because he was sure he would win. GOOD RIDDANCE!! Don't let the... Actually. LET the door hit u square in the a55 on the way out, Mittens!

  13. Now he can move to one of his private islands so we never have to hear about him ever again

  14. what a boring speech

  15. I hope Markus stocked up on tissues. The FOX news tears are flowing, boohoo.

  16. First of all, although the content of the speech was generally applaudable, the delivery is downright awful. I like the message but he just came across as insincere and as if he felt sorry for you because you didn't vote for him. There's no grace, very little humility, and just a general vibe of disinterest in the country since he won't be moving into the White House next year.
And a serious candidate who claimed to care so deeply for America's future will consider a concession speech just as important as a victory speech and will never end the speech with "Thank you, guys."

So glad that he didn't win.

  17. @UFFDA: I think he was the WRONG Bad Man.

  18. How irrelevant is how good a first lady that blond bimbo wife of his would've made? THAT is what he regrets? Seriously? There were times when I thought he was a slightly bigger man than that, than to be preoccupied with such trivialities. I guess it doesn't matter when the country says NO to you and your wackadoo agenda. But still.....

  19. I love watching this. That crowd can barely scare up an anemic applause, and I LOVE seeing the bootprint of defeat on Romney's face. Effin' epic PRICELESS!

  20. OK...whatever ya'll say...let's bludgeon the dead man.

    Posted by: UFFDA | Nov 7, 2012 12:35:07 PM

  21. the 1 and only thing that reassures me romney has a shred of humanity in him is that he appears to truly adore anne

everything else screams = replicant/ robot

I will give him kudos for that 1 shred of humanity = he truly loves anne

  22. GOOD RIDDANCE, TO BAD RUBBISH!

    Posted by: BRAINS | Nov 7, 2012 12:53:45 PM

  23. John McCain gave a notably longer and more eloquent concession speech four years ago. I agree, there was something about this that seemed...off. The words were there, but the sincerity (humanity?) was lacking. Kind of the final validation of everything Romney's worked against for 5+ years.

Objectively speaking, still a very handsome man though. He can always pick up a new career doing "Daddy porn." (Oh come on, now, like you can't imagine him plowing a whimpering Paul Ryan?)

  24. "OK...whatever ya'll say...let's bludgeon the dead man."

Or a group of us could just hold him down and chop his hair off while he cries and begs us to stop. That seems to pass for "spirited hijinx" in some circles...

    Posted by: Caliban | Nov 7, 2012 1:04:12 PM

  25. Can somebody post a text version of Romney's speech? Because I couldn't bear to watch him or listen to him up to this point and I'm certainly not going to start now. May he never be seen again. And double that for Mr dweeb-face Ryan (hmmmm… where WAS Miss Ryan anyway?)
Cheers, thanks to everyone who helped our prez get re-elected, the entire world is partying!
