Jan Brewer Wonders Where The Hell Global Warming Question Came From: VIDEO

Jan Brewer, the Arizona governor known for fierce anti-gay and anti-immigrant policies and the awkward on-camera moment, was asked about global warming this weekend and responded with predictable ignorance.

"Everybody has an opinion on it and I probably don’t believe that it’s man made," Brewer told KTVK. "I believe, you know, that weather elements are controlled by other things." She later asked the reporter, "Where in the hell did that come from?"

It was man made, of course.

Watch KTVK video of the exchange, via TPM, AFTER THE JUMP.

  1. Jan Brewer is insane, all that heat must have fried her brain. The Greenhouse effect is very real and very much attributed to anthropological causes.

  2. I'm not sure why anyone would ask Jan Brewer her opinion on anything; she is an IDIOT...who does not believe in science, common sense, logic or anything rational, even more dumb than most Republicans..I would not elect her to catch dogs or even rats

  3. "I probably don't believe"? I did want to say it was overly careful wording until her injection after. How about having an informed opinion with some factual basis for once. At least have to the flexibility to be able to develop or change when personal conviction and public policy don't match the evidence, like anthropogenic climate change.

What a concept that we are be mucking with the planet's systems, and there are consequences! Her state's been having drought for over a decade now. I don't imagine she'll believe it until there's a new Dust Bowl.

  4. For Arizona Republicans, she's the cream of the crop. Too bad the Democrats and Independents won't get their act together.

  6. "Jan Brewer is insane, all that heat must have fried her brain."

Don't think it was the heat, more likely the liquor. She shows signs of dementia.

  7. Yup! That is a perfect EXAMPLE of the dim-wit that runs the state in which I live (God help us!)

Denser than depleted uranium, Has a better vacuum between her ears than that found in deep space, and as clueless as a rock. (and they ELECTED her!)

  8. I probably think her brain is as dried up as the climate she lives in.

  9. I can smell the booze all the way from here in Oregon. What the hell is up with Arizona?

  10. I get SO tired of Republican arrogance when confronted with questions. If you know your answer is wrong, then why don't you just give up and admit it? All this would stop if you would just stop being so damn stupid. For crying out loud; it's YOUR fault.

  12. It has been said that global warming began when Governor Brewer stood up from a plastic chair. The incredible heat mixed with methane gas rose up to the atmosphere and started the hole in the ozone. We all need to chip in and buy her a block of ice to sit on. Changing it once every two hours would be sufficient.
Giving her enough breaks in her bitter agenda for bathroom breaks would go a long way in normalizing her evacuation schedule and decrease her flatulence.
We can do this if we all stick together and control the effects of "La Bruja".

  14. Paraphrasing Richard Feynman: Regardless of how many experts believe it or how many organizations concur, if it doesn’t agree with observation, it’s wrong.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), some politicians and many others stubbornly continue to proclaim that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide was the primary cause of global warming.

Measurements demonstrate that they are wrong.

The atmospheric carbon dioxide level has now increased since 2001 by 23.2 ppmv (an amount equal to 25.9% of the increase that took place from 1800 to 2001) (1800, 281.6 ppmv; 2001, 371.13 ppmv; October, 2012, 394.32 ppmv).

The average global temperature trend since 2001 is flat.

That is the observation. No amount of spin can rationalize that the temperature increase to 2001 was caused by a CO2 increase of 89.5 ppmv but that 23.2 ppmv additional CO2 increase had no effect on the average global temperature trend after 2001.

  19. "I probably don't believe that it's man made."

Which leads me to surmise that the unspoken follow up sentence is probably "but I'll let you know for sure once Rush, Glenn and Joe tell me."

  20. Oh please. I don't like the lady for various reasons, give it a rest.

Global 'warming' is a SCAM...and 'Climate Change' is ALWAYS going on and always will. It's all about $$$ and power by various individuals, groups, ideologies, megacorporations.

  21. As for being 'Anti-Immigrant': She's anti ILLEGAL immigrant. See what Mexico does to it's illegal immigrants from Central America.

  22. Gee, Jan, perhaps global warming is a result of the verbal flatulence that escapes your mouth and the mouth of every Republican each time any of you speak.

    Posted by: jamal49 | Dec 2, 2012 11:30:08 AM

  23. Richard Feynman died in 1988 and said squat about global warming.

The "temperature is flat" measurement is misleading and based on deliberately cherry-picked data. Akin to taking the election results from Alabama and declaring Romney as the winner by a landslide.

  24. She wants Arizona to be the Mississippi of the west (ignorant and backward).

    Posted by: TonyJazz | Dec 2, 2012 3:04:45 PM

CO2 trapped in the atmosphere refracts light heating up Earth's surface just like in a microwave. We are responsible for that excess of CO2. For the last 30 years we have seen constant temperature increase of 0.10 every single year.
