  9. I like NPH and I like these shorts. My reaction to the introductory behind-the-scenes video, however, was astonishment that the Muppets were working blue. I have difficulty believing that Jim Henson would have approved of this. OTOH the (now) Sesame Workshop did approve "tickle me" Elmo, which surprised me because it's a slippery slope to child rape.

  10. @Diogenes Arktos: Then you clearly haven't heard Brian Henson's stories of how his father and the other puppeteers made the Muppets say and do absolutely *filthy* things between takes when the cameras weren't rolling.

    Something tells me Jim Henson would find this hilarious.

  13. @Rich F: No, I hadn't heard those stories. Thanks. OTOH - There's sometimes a tremendous difference between public and private personae. (We might call it being closeted.) I still think Jim would not approve of these public productions however much he would enjoy them in private.

    @Lee: I didn't think it was about child rape, but about adult porn. (for example, his comment about being the plumber)
