MSNBC's Chris Hayes Rejects Invite to Speak at CPAC Because They Discriminate Against GOProud, Gays: VIDEO

Hays

MSNBC host Chris Hayes was invited to speak on a panel at CPAC this year, but he's turning it down because CPAC won't allow gay conservative group GOProud (a group Hayes admits is "not an organization I share much with ideologically, or even, truth be told, like all that much") to attend while explaining that the mission of the conference is how to resurrect the Republican party.

Watch Hayes explain it, AFTER THE JUMP...

  2. I appreciate that Chris Hayes is defending the right of GoProud to attend CPAC. I also appreciate that he wastes no time in trying to defend GoShame itself, which is indefensible.

  3. And who wants to "revive" the GOP anyway? Let me put it this way- I wouldn't p*ss on it if it was on fire.

Plus the Republican Party is committing suicide, not an accidental death.

  4. WTF? CPAC invited Hayes!? Have they ever listened to him? He even fills in for Maddow!

  5. Someone needs to explain to Chris Hayes that GoProud means absolutely nothing--NOTHING--to the LGBT community.

By the way, Chris, let the GOP die.

  6. Listening closely to CH, it would seem that he personally is far to the left of Maddow or anyone else on tv - he is obviously familiar with Marxist theory, for instance. But he seems to genuinely believe what he says about entertaining opposing ideas. His UP is regularly the best discussion on the tv machine.

  7. pretty spot on.

they're a pathetic and useless and decidedly anti-gay group, themselves, and yet the lineup at this CPAC seems to revolve around being useless, pathetic and decidedly anti-gay.

their exclusion shows the ongoing amount of anti-gay prejudice in among conservatives, that even anti-gay liberal-hating gays aren't allowed to join in any reindeer games.

again, look at the lineup. Palin, Gingrich, Romney, Santorum.

how to resurrect the Republican party? might wanna stop celebrating the people that are responsible for it being seen as The Stupid Party.
