Michael Stipe and Courtney Love Duet on a Sea Chantey: VIDEO


RoguesJohnny Depp has produced a pirate-themed album called Son of Rogue's Gallery which comes out next week and a few tracks have already hit the web, including this sea chantey called "Rio Grande" from Courtney Love and Michael Stipe (his first piece of music since R.E.M. dissolved.

  3. *sigh* So R.E.M. breaks up for good, Michael Stipe makes a big deal about retiring from music and then....he reappears with a song that sounds like R.E.M. ca. "Automatic for the People"? Huh?

  4. Pretty good. But melancholy. I saw a British press gang swing into a farm near Plymouth and drag three weeping young sons away from parents and farm to be thrown onto the deck of a wretched man-o-war...the beginning of a short story (I can feel it) take it away writers.

  6. I wanted to like it, but it sounds too gimmicky. I can't imagine a less likely duo than Stipe and Love.
