Louis Farrakhan Blasts Belize for Crumbling Under Pressure to Accept Gay People: VIDEO

Nation of Islam founder and leader Louis Farrakhan visited Belize last week at the invitation of religious leaders who want the Supreme Court to uphold the country's sodomy law, Blabbeando reports.

Ripped Farrakhan in a speech on Plus TV:

"How many of you see same-sex marriage and are falling for the pressure that's being put on government to sanction something that God don't sanction. America is attaching aid to you rewriting your constitution, rewriting your laws and because you become a whore for money and forsaken the principles and yet you put your hand on the Bible when you take your oath of office. For what?"

Wrote Andrés Duque at Blabbeando:

Let's be clear here: Although local LGBT advocates would like their relationships to be legally recognized, same sex marriage is not at play when the Belize Supreme Court takes up the issue of the sodomy laws in May. He also falsely alleges that aid from the United States will be cut unless laws are changed to accommodate gays and lesbians.

What Farrakhan is doing is urging legislators to keep a law that punishes and jails gay Belize citizens for who they are. Nothing less, nothing more.

  1. Who knew that the sneering bigot Farrakhan was still alive? He should be introduced to Phelps, they could enage in a Hate-Off. Why do we, who are trillions of dollars in debt, give maney/aid to Belize?

  2. Typical 2 faced hypocrite, according to this a$$ clown civil, rights only apply to blacks. No the rest us.

  3. @KSBrian

Actually, if I remember correctly, the NOI never believed that civil rights laws in America would make a difference.

  4. huh...seems like a narcissist to me. Plus, he's got Jamaican ancestry which is one of the most proudly anti-gay countries around right? "forgive him for he knows not what he's doing"... ugh.

  5. And he's not the founder of the NOI.

And they've always been radical and a bit crazy.

Plus I thought he died of cancer of something. Oh well just more evidence that evil is pervaisive.

  6. What an angry and ugly man.
Nation of Islam-WTF have they done for the benefit of the world? He's just ANOTHER old, tired, angry BIGOT who lives a life of hatred and greed and ugliness...scary in all ways.

  7. I swear Farrakhan is a FBI source or high level asset. The stuff he does with relative impunity certainly suggests his bum is being covered.

  8. It's so funny - I thought he was dead too. He must have managed to keep his mouth shut for a long time, which is something of a miracle. Empty barrels make the most noise.

  9. You can't fight the importance of tourist dollars. Not even a former calypso singer and classical violinist can do that.

Some of the old Boston queens who knew him when he was a young entertainer may know some stuff about him. They never spoke up. But I always wondered why the young men he surrounded himself with were so handsome and perfectly groomed (the Fruit of Islam they were called).

I'm just wonderin'...we all have imaginations.

  11. Fun Fact:

Farrakhan graduated from Boston English high school [public school], same as Leonard Nimoy, J.P. Morgan, Kahlil Gibran. It once had a reputation as a very good school, but is generally mocked today.

  12. My brother, who does missionary work for his Baptist chapter in Chicago, happened down a street where Farrakahn was attending one of his meetings. His henchman had blocked off the street and were holding rifles to keep people at bay. For some reason (I can't remember), my brother's car was chased down the street causing him to flip it. The pursuers ran away. My brother said he had never been so frightened for his life before.

  14. I've never understood the "logic" that would cause a Negro to convert from the religion of the American slave masters to the religion of the African slave traders.

To completely experience the BS that is the NOI, do an internet search for "tribe of shabazz".

  15. "And he's not the founder of the NOI"

He's not the founder of the original Nation of Islam, but in 1981 he started a new NOI (from Wikipedia):

"Farrakhan started rebuilding the NOI. In 1981 he revived the name Nation of Islam for his organization, previously known as Final Call, regaining many of the Nation of Islam's National properties including the NOI National Headquarters Mosque Maryam, reopening over 130 NOI mosques in America and the world. The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Farrakhan as an antisemite"

  19. "I've never understood the "logic" that would cause a Negro to convert from the religion of the American slave masters to the religion of the African slave traders."

And I've never understood the "logic" of elderly homosexuals who like to make comments that are bound to insight ugly exchanges on this blog.

    "Negro" OK, Ofay.

What do you think this is? "Far From Heaven"--back in the 1950s when you were in the closet and had a secret crush on J. Edgar Hoover?

  20. Derrick..."David Hearne" is just an old lonely white queen who needs to pretend he's relevant and "edgy". He thinks looking down on black people elevates him somehow. I guarantee he's nobody and nothing in his real life.

  21. Derrick from Philly: Maybe is because i'm european, but i always find the political correctess of afroamerican incredibly ridiculous.

I don't know that much about the civil rights movement, but when black begins to have such negative connotations, because in my opinion is as neutral as white

And i don't know if his wording is insulting, but he is right on the rest, islam has nothing to do with american blacks ancestors, so it makes no sense to change christianity for a religion that it's even backwards

  22. Hi, JJOSE712,

Actually, the Nation of Islam had very little to do with Islam. It was a "Black nationalist" organization which preached hatred of White people, BUT also independence FROM White people.

When I was a teenager, we had a NOI Temple on the end of my block in North Philly. One friday night a group of "the Fruit of Islam" confronted me for being a f.ggot as I was going to meet friends (well, actually they actually did use the word "Gay", but the way they said it they may as well have said the word f.ggot). I was afraid, and they came across to me as not knowing a damn thing about Islam--they just came across as street trade and ex-cons. My opinion hasn't changed.

As for Black Americans who convert to mainstream Islam (Sunni or Shiite)? Well, many do NOT accept David Hearne's characterization of Muslims as "Slave Traders"....some simply want to separate themselves from Black American Christianity.

If you have chance please google Kareem Abdul Jamarr. You'll see what a sincere Black American convert to Islam is about.

  23. Lets flip this

Why would the white descendants of europeans who were enslaved by christians keep to the slaver's religion?

The enslavement of white europeans 1st by dusky Romans and later by fellow white europeans didn't end till sometime in the middle ages 5ce-15ce and was replaced by serfdom...which was slavery by another name

Under serfdom once could not move to a new area

a serf's services could be sold by their LORD or the Bishop that ruled the area to serve another Lord or Bishop

stupid white xtians staying with their xtian slaver's religion

  24. PS a bit from wiki page

"..It was a condition of bondage or modified slavery which developed primarily during the High Middle Ages in Europe and lasted in some countries until the mid-19th century...."

stupid white xtians sticking to their slaver's religion

  25. Derrick - As usual you complain but didn't refute anything. You want to detour the conversation into a debate on terminology because you have no factual argument.
