Sarah Palin And Wayne LaPierre's CPAC One-Liners: VIDEO


Here, (largely) without comment, are remarks from two different though ideologically related people, Wayne LaPierre, the leader of the NRA who wants armed guards in America's schools, and Sarah Palin, the failed vice-presidential candidate and former Fox News lackey who likes shooting unarmed wolves from helicopters. The remarks were made one day apart at CPAC, the conservative conference wrapping up its final sessions this afternoon.

First, LaPierre's one-liner from his appearance yesterday: "The one thing a violent rapist deserves to face is a good woman with a gun." Counter violence with more violence, he says.

And from Palin, a bawdy, tacky comment about her and her husband, "He's got the rifle, I've got the rack." She then sucked on a Big Gulp because "Bloomberg isn't around."

Since she quit her post in Alaska, she hasn’t run for public office but acts like a politician who calls her constituents “fans.” What exactly does she do other than essentially proposition her self and image to the highest bidder?   7. What's even more funny is the Big Gulp wasn't even covered under Bloomberg's ban. Convenience stores like 7-11 were exempt. Just another example of the idiots worshiping the stupidity that is Sara Palin.

  12. Each zinger is legitimate and defensible, even if each could benefit from a little fine-tuning.

    "The one thing a violent rapist deserves to face is a good woman with a gun." Substitute "attempted" for "violent": the point is to deter, whether or not that including firing up, injuring (or killing) the attacker.

    As for the rack, no it's not Burkean rhetoric, but it's grossly unfair to not allow the lady to call attention to her RACK, when many of her critics (they're not even worthy of being called "critics") openly despise her saliently and attractively feminine features. What's polished about Palin are her nails, not her rhetoric. So be it.

  13. What is frightening is that Palin was not so very far from being president. She actually thinks her pathetic commentary was meaningful. What would she have done as president? Ensured that the obese get equal access to sugary drinks I guess. She knows why the 14th Anedment was passed.
    She protests way too much. She has not had a big gulp from Todd's rifle in years. Who is downing his man juice i wonder? Please someone hack his e-mail and end the unbearable Palin commentary with one big scandal.

    Those whose faces are marred by dust, sweat and blood, have earned the arena for their kindness, empathy, and support for those in need.

    The arena NEVER BELONGED to:

    The fake tans of those who promote war and machine guns.

    To the botoxed foreheads of those who promote starving the poor.

    To the over-make-upped clowns who mis-preach in the name of their deity to suit their bigoted, racist, sexist and xenophobic purposes. Who bend their own god's will to achieve their elitist life-style, while stumping on the hands of those in need.

    You know, like Jesus did.

    By your own words, those clowns should then be prosecuted for ever DARING to step into the arena, unto a platform they haven't earned, and should be exiled forever for their crimes against humanity.
