Bill Maher Slams 'Mean-Spirited Opponents of Marriage Equality: VIDEO

Bill Maher appeared on Jimmy Kimmel last night and discussed the recent marriage equality arguments before the Supreme Court as well as recent remarks from the Georgia GOP Chairwoman that gay marriage is unnatural and it's all about a "free ride for fraudsters" (meaning straight people pretending to be gay to get the benefits).

Said Maher: "It just goes to show you how bankrupt all these arguments are against gay marriage."

  2. i think it's HILARIOUS that that nutbag lady thinks "Straight people will pretend to be gay to get benefits"

right. anti-gay prejudice is so intense it keeps millions of grown-adult Americans from being able to Come Out....yet straight folks will jump at the chance to...uh....have "our" targets on their backs.

    yeah. that's totally gonna happen.

  3. I think she's seen one too many French farces or bad American re-makes. Probably more of the latter than the former. Bad American movies seem more her style than something made with wit and finnesse.

  6. Bill Maher has built his whole act on being mean spirited. Come on.
I love it when these hypocrites "get serious" Supporting us is good for his act.

  7. wasn't the finale of Boston Legal with William Shatner and James Spader that they decide to get married. Shatner has dementia and wants the practice and all of his assets to go to Spader. Opponents of their marriage argue this exact thing in court that this would "fuel the rightwing belief that hetero couples would exploit same-sex marriage for tax breaks" the judge rules "that the government doesn’t — and shouldn’t — ask couples why they’re marrying" it's actually the conservative mantra...less government involvement. This was one of the best finales!

  8. Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Louis Black, even Letterman, Leno, Fallon, O'Brien et al are great comedians who are helping to move the progressive "agenda" forward.
