Cher isn't the only diva making a reemergence for LGBT Pride in NYC.
Lady Gaga will be speaking at the NYC Pride Kick Off Rally tomorrow at Pier 26 between 7 and 10 pm, according to an email to Towleroad from a source involved with the planning of this weekend's events. It's one of her first high-profile appearances since she underwent surgery.
The event takes place tonight at Hudson River Park's Pier 26 on West St. in TriBeCa. All event attendees must cross the highway at Laight St.
According to organizers, The Rally showcases well-known performers and motivating speakers to kick-off NYC Pride's official events. The first NYC Pride Rally occurred one month after the Stonewall Riots in June 1969, when 500 people gathered for a “Gay Power” demonstration in Washington Square Park, followed by a candlelight vigil in Sheridan Square. NYC Pride continues the tradition of this event each year at various locations throughout the city.
Also scheduled at the rally: Pandora Boxx, Keith Price, Pam Ann, and Vicci Martinez.
