Lady Gaga to Speak at NYC Pride Kick-Off Rally on Friday Night

Cher isn't the only diva making a reemergence for LGBT Pride in NYC.

GagaLady Gaga will be speaking at the NYC Pride Kick Off Rally tomorrow at Pier 26 between 7 and 10 pm, according to an email to Towleroad from a source involved with the planning of this weekend's events. It's one of her first high-profile appearances since she underwent surgery.

The event takes place tonight at Hudson River Park's Pier 26 on West St. in TriBeCa. All event attendees must cross the highway at Laight St.

According to organizers, The Rally showcases well-known performers and motivating speakers to kick-off NYC Pride's official events. The first NYC Pride Rally occurred one month after the Stonewall Riots in June 1969, when 500 people gathered for a “Gay Power” demonstration in Washington Square Park, followed by a candlelight vigil in Sheridan Square. NYC Pride continues the tradition of this event each year at various locations throughout the city.

Also scheduled at the rally: Pandora Boxx, Keith Price, Pam Ann, and Vicci Martinez.

  7. She is a queen. But not like Alec Baldwin means. He likes gays but not queens. He's not a homophobe but gays do enjoy feet up their asses. Anyway, GLAAD let him have a pass on the whole discourse. They aren't only kiss assed, they actually go in and set up camp. See real national news for this story. Mum's the word on this site. The real news has nothing to lose!

  8. Listen to this rationale by Alec, for using the word queen.

He also defended using the word "queen."

"I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny," he said. "It doesn't have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation. To me those are people who think the rules don't apply to them. This guy could blatantly lie, I mean blatantly lie about my wife on the internet and there are just no rules that apply to him, but that's outrageous to me."
