I’m afraid the humor would probably be lost on the Super Bowl demographic… maybe save it for the Oscars.

Does everyone hear that distant clacking? OMM is already clutching their pearls in indignation. Personally, I think it’s tacky as Hell.

  3. Joe says

Leslie Jordan is great, but the director was a bit over the top. It would have been funnier had the director not outgayed LJ.

  4. Geoff says

Okay, but I’m getting pretty tired of the obligatory “Step-an’-fetch-it” queeny personae vs “strapping hunks” meme. We’re way beyond that…I hope.

    Leslie Jordan is a treasure.

Trust me, that’s no persona. That’s who he is, and it’s wonderful to see him embrace it. And share it.

  6. Dback says

Like him, but the pacing/timing of the commercial didn’t allow the comedic “pop” I was hoping for. Nice eye candy though.

I agree with all the comments. This is a throw back to a stereotype that does our community no favors. Hardly bold, this is the worse kind pandering to homophobia.

  8. I wont grow up says

That’s just what we need, more fuel to the fire of homophobia. More perpetuation of the stereotypes.

  9. Sean Maloney says

Wow, that was one of the worst commercials I have ever seen. As if no thought went into it at all. Who came up with this? The writers at SNL? #lame

lol Would have liked to see LJ’s naval [destroyer] and have liked to watch the making of the commercial with binocs from the roof One Wilshire…lmao

Oooh, 2900 moms ain’t gonna like this.

I love that people on this site get so worked up over flamboyant gay men. I think Leslie Jordan is hysterical and this is exactly how he is so, all you femme haters-STFU!

  12. Marty says

I hate to pile on but do we REALLY need another “queenie gay guy” pandering? I mean, in all seriousness?

  13. jamal49 says

Amazing how low people will go so they can be a director or get money for their production company or be an actor in a classless piece of commercial trash.

  14. PortlandMaine says

Not a great ad, but… good God, Nick Ayler is almost beyond words spectacularly handsome. I mean… WOW.

  15. Steve Morgan says

I completely agree with Geoff’s comment (below). Gay advertisers please stop the old stereotypes. Come on. And, be real, I mean what gay man eats those GMO chips at he risk of ruining the six pack?.
