Patrick Stewart is Just Glad 'The Guardian' Reported That He's Gay and Not Dead

The Guardian recently reported that actor Patrick Stewart (seen above with his Broadway castmate Ian McKellen outside the Stonewall Inn in October) is gay, resulting in a correction from the newspaper.

Stewart took it in humor and stride, tweeting: "Well, @guardian it makes for a nice change...at least I didn't wake up to the internet telling me I was dead again."

He later added:

  1. Well, several years ago Ian McKellan gave an interview where he said he was going to marry Patrick Stewart, then realized how he worded it and clarified that he was going to officiate the wedding of Patrick Stewart to his longtime girlfriend/fiancee.

  10. @DT. Chicken wings is TOTALLY hetero. Let me rephrase that. If you think that (chicken) wings is a full meal, and if you go to a restaurant that only serves wings, you are a heterosexual.

  11. I personally enjoy chicken wings as a meal, and have been to restaurants where that's what they serve. Doesn't make me straight, sorry.

  14. @HRM Well, you have hetero tendencies. Probably made out with girls in college but convinced yourself that you are gay.

(PS, this is all tongue-in-cheek, in case it wasn't obvious.)
