Villagers Dedicates 'Occupy Your Mind' to Gay Brothers and Sisters in Russia: VIDEO

Villagers, an indie folk band from Dublin, Ireland, consisting of Conor O'Brien, Tommy McLaughlin, Danny Snow, James Byrne and Cormac Curran, are dedicating their latest video to the oppressed LGBT community in Sochi.

Writes the band: "To whom it may concern: In the advent of the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, please find attached a song written for you, your mother, your father and your gay brothers and sisters in Russia."

  1. I will PAY the writers of this blog to go the whole rest of the Olympics without ever even mentioning the word Russia again. We get that Russia is anti-gay. We get that the gays are mistreated there. But unless you intend to do something about it, give it a damn rest! Protests and reporting the same stories over and over and over don't do much to rectify the situation.
