Pharrell Speaks Out for Marriage Equality: VIDEO

Pharrell appeared on Ellen today and explained to her that the title of his album GIRL is not only because he loves women, but that he is also a strong believer in equality for women. He then took a moment to point out:

"When I say equality, I mean equality for everybody. Everybody. Who you telling who they can marry and who they can't? What is this? This is 2014."

He also took receipt of a very large...hat.

  5. Wouldn't it be better if Ellen had an openly gay male performer on her show?

  6. Love him.
Very very very talented man and what he just said was kind of huge and kind of amazing.

  7. @Adam: Like virtually all mainstream entertainment talk shows, the guests on the Ellen Show are booked because they are popular (and usually promoting something). If an openly gay singer had a #1 hit, I'm certain Ellen would have him or her on the show.

People like Elton John and Adam Lambert have appeared on the Ellen Show. It seems as though your criticism is based on a lack of understanding on how these types of shows work.
