Right-wing Extremist Benham Twins Closing In On New TV Deal: VIDEO

Screen Shot 2014-05-10 at 9.33.10 AM

David and Jason Benham, the would-be HGTV hosts whose show was canceled this week by the network after Right Wing Watch wrote a lengthy post about their family's anti-gay, anti-choice, and anti-Muslim extremism, are reportedly in discussions to bring their show to another network.

The brothers spoke with Eric Bolling yesterday on The O’Reilly Factor about their thoughts on being dumped by HGTV and revealed they already have a few new network offers for their show.

FAITH_DRIVEN_CONSUMER_LOGO_TMThe Hollywood Reporter adds that the brothers are working on the alternative plans with help from Faith Driven Consumer, the advocacy group that played a big role in drumming up support for Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson after his own anti-gay remarks led to a (temporary) suspension from his hit A&E show.

“We are brokering a possible deal between them and their show and an alternative network to HGTV,” said Faith Driven Consumer founder Chris Stone, who declined to say which network the brothers are in discussions with. “Whether it’s HGTV or the network we’re talking about, we want to see them on TV.”

The group has launched a petition drive in support of the Behnams that so far boasts over 12,000 signatures.

  2. Christians lie all the time. I'll believe it when it gets reported. I sure won't see it because I won't be watching.

  5. Oh baloney. Duck Dynasty tanked after it was revealed that they were raging homophobes. This show is dead in the water, if it's true they have another spot.

But actaully it might be good. They can flip houses AND spout off on the evils of gays and muslims. We'll see how far they get.

  6. Don't we already have a pair of gay twins who flip houses on TV?

  7. If they get a show then when will we get to see Klansman on tv?

  8. We are a "sliver" of the population. This story seems suspect.

  9. To be completely accurate----Duck Dynasty was never cancelled, however temporarily. Phil Robertson was given a temporary suspension, that's all.

  11. They look like turds to be honest, you must have very low self esteem if you even give a glance to those

  12. What other network could it be? Is there another like HGTV?

  13. Also, Phil Roberson's "suspension" was during hiatus. Effect: nil.

  14. Back in the day they had the Ku Klux Klan. Institutionalized bigotry isn't new in this Country.

  15. Let them go to whatever channel will take them just as long as it isn't HGTV.

  16. On Twitter: @faithnomics (Chris Stone) Try the Hate Channel. There's also the Bigot Channel, the Overly White Bread Channel and the Stepford Channel. #benhambrothers

  17. Nobody would have ever heard of these guys on some obscure home and garden cable channel.

Targeting these two angelic blonde, blue eyed twins because of their beliefs on marriage will just makes gays look like intolerant bullies in the eyes of many non-gays.

Meanwhile, authentic rabidly homophobic bigots on Political Talk Radio like Michael Savage are allowed to spew hatred of gay people to millions and nothing is said about it.

  18. Yeah, what channel? There's no way A&E would air this after all the Duck Dynasty back-and-forth headache even with a ten-foot pole. Fox News is pretty unlikely to air a home improvement show. And Family Channel (though its still contractually obligated to carry Pat Robertson's show late night) uses every chance it can on its regular programming to throw gay and lesbian characters and themes back in Robertson's face. If these two hateful bozos land a network, it'll be one of those ultra-obscure religious end-of-the-dial things that nobody even knows about, let alone watches.

  19. Isn't it odd how anti-gay straight men are ALWAYS willing to use their supremacism for profit.

I see no morality at all in these 2 men. None at all.

  20. Angelic....I hardly think so. They were exposed as having opinions that are harmful and could result in oppression and censorship of our LGBT voices and those of women who desire to continue controlling their bodies.
They certainly are entitled to their opinions but their interpretation of the teachings of Christ is very passive-aggressive. Love the sinner, hate the sin crap. Buyer beware.

  21. KIERAN, are you okay? They look like neo-nazi's. Are you dark? Or do you have self hate issues? I know in America there is this weird obsession with skin tone even if you look like an axe murderer.

Sorry but you can't be above average looks and intelligence but not clearly see the evil look on these guys. They look psychotic.

Jeez, no wonder so many gay men get killed on Grindr!!!

  22. So basically HGTV would be perfect except for all the gays that watch that network.. I know what "small percentage of people" means from Christian conservatives..

  23. Poor things, being "silenced" again on national TV.

We'll see what kind of deal they're "closing in on." More likely, they're desperately trying to stay in the spotlight before their short shelf life expires. But if some "alternative" network is willing to pay extremists to flip houses, that's what the free market is all about. Good luck, boys!

@Kieran: FYI, HGTV isn't in the least obscure. For the type of show they wanted to do, it's the best score out there.

  24. “We are brokering a possible deal between them and their show and an alternative network to HGTV”

Ha. Welcome to the world of paid infomercials, boys!

  25. Ultimately, these people who signed the petition just aren't HGTV viewers. HGTV viewers are gay-friendly straight people and gay people. Half of their host ligneup are gay men...
