Jon Stewart Rips Don Lemon's 'Blizzardmobile' and Cable's Snow Hype: VIDEO

Juno_stewart

The Bilzzard of 2015 provided a plethora of ways for cable news people to humiliate themselves on camera and king curator Jon Stewart last night took a look at how the NYC forecast was not only a huge FAIL for politicians but for reporters like Chris Hayes and Don Lemon, who chose to do their coverage from behind the wheel of an SUV/"Blizzardmobile".

Jon Stewart Tosses the Sarah Palin Word Salad at the Iowa Wingnut Summit: VIDEO

Stewart

Jon Stewart took a look at Rep. Steve King's Iowa wingnut summit which took place over the weekend. The summit attracted such conservative names as Scott Walker, Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Rick Perry, and Ted Cruz, who showed he was meant to be there by exclaiming to the crowd:

"Hoo Diddly, I'm conservative!"

Mike Huckabee was, apparently, hungry:

"There are two things you should never see. You should never see a law or a sausage made. I have seen both. And I still eat sausage. If you're gonna have some sausage you gotta kill some pigs. And folks there are a lot of people in America who want the sausage they just don't want to kill the pigs. We need to do some pig killing — to get to the sausage."

And Sarah Palin was the conference's true star. If you haven't already seen her speech, it's something to behold.

Said Stewart:

"You know, that's the kind of talk you hear right before the pharmacist says 'ma'am you've gotta leave the Walgreens.'

Jon Stewart Skewers the GOP Responses to SOTU: 'How Many F--king People Are At This Tea Party?' - VIDEO

Stewart1

With the State of the Union address behind us, Jon Stewart took an exasperated look last night at the many nominees for this year's Implody Award for "outstanding achievement in unforced response speech errors."

Nominees included Senator Jodi Ernst for her mind-numbing official GOP response, Rep. Curt Clawson for his rambling Tea Party response and Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz for their own ego-driven personal responses.

Stewart, before awarding this year's Implody to Cruz, offered up some sage advice to the Texas firebrand:

"If you're looking to run for president, maybe you shouldn't make your response to the State of the Union look like a ransom video...or the part of the porno everybody fast forwards through."

Jon Stewart Puts Mike Huckabee in His Place Over Beyoncé: VIDEO

Huckabee_stewart

Jon Stewart called out Mike Huckabee in a Daily Show interview last night for his ongoing crusade against Beyoncé in the name of "wholesome" values.

Argues Huckabee, who has been attacking Obama for encouraging the singer in his daughter's lives:

"The thing that disturbs me when you see Beyoncé who is a role model to young girls...do you know any parent who has a daughter that says 'honey, if you make really good grades, someday when you're 12 or 13 we'll get you a stripper pole.'"

Stewart's response was to fire up a FOX News clip of Huckabee accompanying Ted Nugent on "Cat Scratch Fever", a rock classic generally thought to reference the transmission of syphilis but said by Nugent to simply be about "boys craving girls."

"That is a show in the middle of the day that children can watch," says Stewart. "Do you see my point? You excuse that type of crudeness because you agree with [Nugent's] stance on firearms. You don't approve of Beyoncé because she seems alien to you. Johnny Cash shot a man just to watch him die. That's some gangsta s--t."

Jon Stewart Skewers Florida For Fighting Same-Sex Marriage: VIDEO

Stewart

On last night's The Daily Show, host Jon Stewart took the state of Florida to task for the extreme measures it took this month to avoid granting same-sex couples the right to marry. Among the many absurdities involved in the larger unfolding of events pertaining to the arrival of marriage equality in Florida, Stewart highlighted the decision by some counties not to allow any couples to get married at courthouses, a move aimed at blocking same-sex couples from saying "I do" and upholding the so-called "religious liberty" of clerks who personally oppose marriage equality. The fodder is too perfect for Stewart to resist:

"Yes we don’t want to cause 'discriminations' against county court employees who don’t feel like following the law. These people didn’t choose to be county clerks. They were born that way."

Florida claiming to have the moral high-ground on any subject is a bit of joke. Stewart sums it up nicely: "Florida, you don’t get to judge others when your state motto is, 'If Darwin was right we wouldn’t be here.'”

Watch Stewart lampoon the "giant cockroach-choking, hazard-infested, Hooters-dining, reptile-abusing, Everglades-draining, election-ruining, stripper-motorboating, ball-sweat-scented, genitalia-shaped, 24-hour mugshot factory," AFTER THE JUMP...
