During the first half of the year I was getting up really early to go to the gym before work, sometimes around 5:30 am. If I got up early enough I was able to beat the morning rush hour on normally packed Santa Monica Boulevard. I took this picture on January 14, at 7:52 am (guess it was one of those cold winter mornings I just couldn’t get out of bed). We do have a kind of winter in Los Angeles, and this morning it was manifesting itself in a cool, wet fog that blanketed everything.
