Director Bill Condon talks to the Village Voice about controversy and monogamy in Kinsey, his biopic on the controversial sex researcher: “There’s a myth in American movies that’s as strong today as ever, that there exists out there a soul mate for you who will also fulfill all your sexual needs over an entire lifetime. And if you don’t find that person, then somehow you’ve failed in life. This is something that a lot of people in committed relationships have to face, and we just don’t talk about it much.”
