The California Supreme Court has handed down an important decision for domestic partners, ruling that private country clubs must view same-sex partners and married couples equally. Some say the decision is good news with regard to the Court’s forthcoming look at gay marriage rights while others say opponents of gay marriage may use the ruling to argue that domestic partnerships are all that is necessary to afford equality to all citizens.
