This Sunday, August 14th, is the 60th Anniversary of V-J Day, the end of World War II.
To celebrate, the Times Square Alliance is inviting couples “of all ages and from all walks of life” to participate in a commemorative “kiss-in” at 1:30 pm on Military Island in the center of Times Square.
I’ll take that as they’re openly courting gay couples to participate. If only the celebration were not being observed under the cloak of another ugly war. Still, it’s hard to go wrong with an event that has kissing as its main attraction.
