On each Friday for the next month, Andy Warhol’s film Empire will screen on the side of the National Theatre’s flytower on London’s South Bank. The film consists of a single, uninterrupted shot of the Empire State Building filmed on one evening in June of 1964.
Highlights include “some lights going on, the odd plane drifting by and daylight fading into night.” That said, it may be more interesting than watching even one episode of My Fair Brady.
