Bad news. Today is the last day of the Towleroad T-shirt visit to Rio de Janeiro, and also one of the last days to get one in time for the holidays!
The shirt, that is.
As for Leo, the Brazilian featured here, here's your gift. Click the photos to enlarge. As Vanessa Williams would say, I saved the best for last. Thanks to Lewis Payton for the photos.
Lewis writes of Leo: “When I first saw Leo playing footvolley (like beach volleyball but you can only use your legs, feet, chest and head to hit the ball), he completely took my breath away. Leo is completely unaware of his beauty, very shy and very tough (he got in a beach fight defending his buddy later that day). Footvolley is one of the most visually arresting sports I've ever seen, not in the least because the guys are all wearing the ultra sexy ‘sunga' – a wider, looser version of the Speedo that's a must have for male beachgoers in this town. We arranged to do a whole shoot a couple of days later, but the weather turned foul and I had to settle for these few snaps before fleeing the rain. When I head back in '06, I'll be rectifying this loss for the world!”
Thanks to everyone who has sent in for a T-shirt to support the site. Your support is appreciated and you'll be receiving your shirt shortly…and as always, send photos!
