Matthew Perpetua at Fluxblog brings us the “distinct aesthetic” of Max Tundra, who turns the musical classic “So Long, Farewell” into a frantic yet upbeat perversion of itself. “The first time that I heard this, I spent the full duration of the song with a slack-jawed look of giddy disbelief on my face,” says Perpetua. I’d have to agree. At first the syncopation to me sounded horribly dissonant, but as the song progressed I was eventually won over, and smiled upon realizing that the Von Trapps had fled the auditorium.
