In July I reported on Kell Hulsey, an off-duty Greeley, Colorado police officer and his son Daniel, who attacked a man (Brian Carter, pictured) at the Pot Belly Deli Bar and Restaurant in Red Feather Lakes. They apparently thought the man, who has a lazy eye, was gay and checking Daniel out.
The elder Hulsey, who reportedly threw the first punch before son and father fled the scene and were later tracked down by a K-9 squad, has reportedly been fired from his job.
The Greeley Tribune reports: “Larimer County investigators said Wednesday they were still waiting for DNA evidence in the case before they decide whether Kell Hulsey is charged in the assault. Although Police Chief Jerry Garner said he couldn't comment on Kelsey's employment because of it's a personnel matter, the city's Human Resources Director, Sharon McCabe, said Kell Hulsey's employment with the city ended Tuesday. She could not say if he was terminated or resigned. Hulsey had been with the department 20 years, but had been on paid administrative leave since the bar fight.”
