L.A.-based journalist Karen Ocamb, who moderated the town hall, reported that Amy Balliett, (Founder, Join the Impact) and John A. Pérez (Assembly Member-elect, California's 46th District), could not join the town hall, Balliett because of a “last minute Thanksgiving work issue,” and Pérez because of “last-minute budget meetings.”
