Brady Bunch star Barry Williams landed in some hot water Wednesday after suggesting in an interview with HuffPost Live that he would be open to "going transgender" (a la Bruce Jenner) if it helped drum up publicity for his reality show A Very Barry Branson.
Said Williams about Jenner's transition:
"That guy is committed. He is committed to promoting himself. And I'm thinking, maybe, I don't know, I could say — I'm just saying, if this thing doesn't work, and the series isn't doing as well as I want, I'm going transgender."
When host Ricky Camilleri countered that transitioning is "a much more difficult emotional process than people like to give credit for," Williams joked, "I'm an actor, I can handle it".
