Designer and director Tom Ford was attracting some attention with a custom “pocket” Apple Watch at the London Collections fashion show which looked flashy but negated several of the advantages of the wearable technology, specifically the sensors meant to monitor heart rate, and the ability to use Apple Pay.

News recently broke that Ford was at work on his second feature film, the postmodern noir thriller Nocturnal Animals, an adaptation of an Austin Wright book titled Tony and Susan. Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams are attached to star in the film. Ford is planning to shoot the film this fall.
