Police have arrested 25-year-old Brandon McNamara in connection with a brutal homophobic attack early Sunday morning on two New Jersey men outside Metropolitan, a gay bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

McNamara allegedly punched the 34-year-old victim in the face and threw the 29-year-old victim against a tree, leaving both of them unconscious. They were taken to the hospital and treated for a fractured shoulder and a broken finger.
PIX11 reports: “McNamara faces two counts each of hate crime assault in the second degree, second-degree assault, and first- and second-degree hate crimes, police said. The suspect was first pictured in an image released by police after the attack. Police have confirmed the man pictured is McNamara.”
