Star Jones pulls a Tom Cruise in her new book Shine according to Rush & Molloy, painting Al Reynolds as a “superstud” in order to quash gay rumors that keep rising to the surface. The column quotes a few choice passages: “The first time he held me in his arms sexually, it was almost frightening because we knew our erotic interest in each other could take over every other thing. We had an intoxicatingly sexual connection the first two months of our relationship.”
As far as the rumors go, Star says, “One day, we would read in the press that Al was out gallivanting with a bunch of women. The next day, we'd read a story questioning his sexuality. I remember my husband saying to me, ‘Baby, what am I today?' And me answering, ‘Just who you were yesterday, baby.'”
Yesterday, when he was off with his fishing buddies on Fire Island?
And the pain just doesn't seem to stop for Kevin Spacey either. A state-sanctioned group in Britain teaching gay history in the schools has named the actor on a list of famous gay people. Spacey has never answered questions about his sexuality. Organizer Paul Patrick: “We double check our material carefully but Mr Spacey's name got through. I don't know how. It will be withdrawn. It should not have happened and we apologise.”
