He has also called homosexulality “immoral, detestable, a crime against nature and a violation of nature’s God, upon which this nation and our laws are predicated.” All in all, a lovely man.

The Lads will parade down Oxford Street to Wardour Street dressed only in HUNG Briefs. From there the HUNG Lads will tour through Soho and Old Comptons Street.”

You don’t have to be a “conserative Singaporean” to be offended by half the crap in any “gay parade” says this non-conservative homosexual.

But, you can’t please everyone now can you?

Hello! We’re talking about Singapore! Where anal and oral sex are Illegal, but prostitution is legal. Chewing gum is illegal, unless it is prescribed and contains a medication. Playboy magazine is considered pornography, and is banned. All Maylasian newspapers are banned. Private ownership of satellite dishes is banned.

Punishment by public caning is common for misdemeanor crimes.

Section 377 of the Singapore Legal Code states that Homosexuality is not illegal, but homosexual acts are “against the laws of nature” and are illegal. So it’s okay to be gay, just keep your hands off your boyfriend.

In reluctant defense of Singapore; in 2001, they did relax their stance on homosexuality, and permitted parades and outdoor gatherings, but in 2004, they saw soaring rates of HIV infections in the Gay population, and acting from an overabundance of caution, curtailed their new-found tolerance.

I don’t know where Singapore is headed, but I’m not headed to Singapore anytime soon.
