Connecticut Legalizes Civil Unions
Connecticut's Civil Union law went into effect over the weekend, prompting many gay couples to accept the rights offered to them by that state even though many legal issues are left unresolved by the unions, including how they will be accepted on a federal level and in other states.
Many are left wanting more with the civil union law.
John de la Roche and Michael Hargrave, a couple together for 13 years, objected to the party being thrown by Connecticut group Love Makes a Family, saying that civil unions just aren't enough: "I cannot force myself to go and dance at this. I just think it's really insulting that we have to sit in the back of the bus."
Still others are just angry. A group of about 50 protestors sponsored by the Family Institute for Connecticut gathered in front of the state capitol in Hartford to object to the offering of rights to gays and lesbians. A group above (which may or may not be related to the FIC), also demonstrated, shredding a rainbow flag.

Amazing that a "family" institute would sponsor such hate and obvious skinhead wannabes. They all shop at the same shoe store.

I'm sure these people can't even remember the last time they had sex with a condom. I'm sure sooner or later some of them will actually find out what AIDS does to someone. These people make me sick.

the whole aids turns fruits into vegetables sign really falls apart when you start to think about tomatoes. i mean is that a fruit or a vegetable? but seriously it's great that those protestors finally found another way to spend their time besides an all male poolside daisy chain.

Those protesters are from the "White Wolves". They're a white supremist group in Connecticut. Their leader is in jail now for disturbing the peace at a meeting of a gay group in the Stratford CT library (He punched a cop). Just a year ago, they only claimed to have about 4 members. Unfortunately, they seem to be growing.

After Connecticut finally threw out it's governor for profit scum bag Rowland the love of Republicans is dwindling. People in CT care more about their lawn and stocked refrigerator than fighting gay marriage or protesting anything. If you want to live somewhere without a soul or passion choose Connecticut.
