South Korea will revise or repeal rules on gays in the military after demands by human rights organizations: "The groups revealed some of [the military's] counseling records, including the case of an army counselor who refused to counsel a gay solider unless the soldier submitted a photo of him having sex with a male partner to prove his homosexuality. The soldier was also forced to reveal how many times he had sex with male partners and even had to take a blood test to confirm whether he was infected with AIDS or other sexually-transmitted diseases." No word on whether or not the homoerotic training exercises will continue, but we hope so.
Debate goes on in Iowa over anti-harassment policies in schools as father testifies with heartbreaking tale about gay son: "Even one of his teachers called him a faggot. My son was cheated out of a high school experience because he wasn’t safe in your hallways and classrooms. He was scared to death to be in school."

Yup, a blond, blue-eyed Jesus is quite radical considering Jesus is described as having skin the color of copper (brown) and brown wooly hair in the Bible. But reality and depictions of Jesus have never been paramount to "Christians" who disregard his teachings of love and forgiveness to suit their needs (yeah, Jesus would really be for the death penalty).

Not a fan of either bigotted Christians (misnomer for sure) OR pro-gay theology.
Christ died for prostitutes, thieves, murderers, tax collectors, and yes fags - which is the Gospel to me!

I had to read it three times to figure out that Alan Ball will be doing T-o-w-E-L-H-E-a-d and not T-o-w-L-E-R-O-a-d.

Brad - your commentary is spot on ! Of course, Western Christian statuary has always made him look less Semite than Eastern Christian iconography.
One of the reasons for the loin cloth on Jesus in the crucifixion is that the historical accuracy - naked on the cross - would have clearly shown his circumsion (January 1 for Catholics was once the Feast of the Circumsion, day of obligation, and now it the Feast of the Holy Family) and his obvious tie to the children of Abraham.
Tonight, as well, I more closely perused the SOULFORCE site of Dr. White, and found a video (go to resources and then online videos and the first is a letter to Dr. Dobson from Mr. Lutes, LPC and his spouse and child. I promise you that it will be the most important half hour of your day....
Oh....and think, two minutes more on the day today....don't miss the opportunity - it won't happen for another 1,000 years.
