2006 Gay Bloggies - Wow!
Wow. I am really, really honored and surprised to have been voted Weblog of the Year, Best American Blog, and Best Personality in the Gay Bloggies. That's a lot of love for one year—as humbling as it is flattering. I hope to be able to keep you informed and entertained for 2007. I'll certainly do my best.
So, thank you for voting for Towleroad. I'm really grateful. But more grateful for those of you who come back and visit again and again. Building this site is one of the most challenging projects I have ever taken on and I'm thankful for those of you who participate in the process. Thanks also to the guys at QueerClick (NSFW) for throwing the competition. There are so many deserving sites out there. Congratulations Andy!!! Your successes are truly well deserved. I too stumbled on your site some time ago, and ever since, have been a daily visitor. I find your mix or articles, and info just what I need, and indeed, just what I like. Sometimes when I read the comments and someone gripes about this or that, I worry that you might change your formula. Please don't. You have the perfect blend on news and views. So, keep up the GREAT work, and know that you are loved.

I have to add my congrats too Andy. I found you a year ago via my SBCYahoo homepage and I haven't missed a day since of seeing what you have to say and give me food for thought. You truly do have the best blog and your awards are well deserved.
I don't comment much but when I do it's usually simple smartass remarks, but I love reading everyone's opinions here and will always be a loyal reader.

Hey Andy... Congrats! I definitely voted for you in several categories. Towleroad and QueerClick are two of my favorite blogs and daily reads. In fact, I would say I get almost all my "gay" news from your site. You've really succeeded in becoming a reliable source for "gay news"... and I'm surprised you didn't win "Best Writing".... Thanks for keeping me informed. By the time the weekly "Washington Blade" comes out in DC (where I live), I'm like, "I've read all this before on Towleroad." Great job!!!
