News: Bush and Iran, Thai Cowboys, Sean Hannity's Gays
Authorities investigate both Ted Haggard and Mike Jones: "Denver police want to know who supplied the drugs and exactly what role Jones played in the drug use. He may also be under investigation for prostitution a police source said Monday."

Brokeback Mountain spurs surge in Thai cowboy films. A special collector's edition DVD of Brokeback is coming on January 23. The two-disc edition will feature never-before-seen footage as well as collectible postcards.
New "GAYdar reality show casting: "We are looking for gay MEN between the ages of 21-35. You must be single, attractive and have a very outgoing personality. Were gonna set you in a straight dating situation and have you act straight while dating a single, straight, attractive girl. This is Reality TV but you will be acting as straight as possible. Your job is to not let the girl Know that your the gay guy in the show!!!"

3 Needles to open this Friday on World AIDS Day. Proceed at your own Risk offers up a review: "Refreshingly this film has no gay characters and no gay story lines. That will likely drive the homophobes crazy since they seem incapable of moving past the dead-headed notion that AIDS is a gay disease. In fact, "3 Needles" leaves one with the powerful idea that the association between homosexuality and AIDS is downright idiotic."
Bulgarian pop singer Lora Ivanova struggles in court to change her name to 'Madona': "She claims that she wasn't copying pop icon Madonna, because she only wanted to spell her name with one 'n'."
Joel Stein mines FOX News commentator Sean Hannity's 'Hannidate' dating service for a man-on-man encounter: "Figuring this was an embarrassing oversight by the Hannity.com administrator who must have bought the dating service software from some liberal company, I immediately contacted Hannity, hoping he'd panic and cry and possibly use his bionic powers. But it turns out Hannity was well aware of the gay Hannidate feature and is fine with it."
Is the rise of Iran Bush's mortal wound? "While you could argue that many presidents face a six-year slump, has one ever included having to turn to the 'Axis of Evil' for help? The best part was the conclusion has pretty much already been reached - Maliki said Iraq should talk to Iran directly leaving the US on the sidelines. Thanks but no thanks George, you've done quite enough."

Britney caught under socialite's spell.
All David Beckham wants for Christmas is a non-stick frying pan.
Heterosexual police officer claims she was discriminated against on the force because she's not a lesbian: "Heterosexual female officers at the division were targeted for harassment and negative employment actions and were not given the same opportunities as lesbians, she alleges."

So now the Denver pigs are going on a witch hunt? Out a hypocrite = go to jail. Twisted.

How about, "Break the law by taking money for sex or acting as a middleman for a drug buy = go to jail." Jones action to out Haggard in no way excuses any illegal actions he may have also committed.

Of course the Denver PD can only use their resources to prosecute crimes that have no victim and are long in the past. Using the department to investigate real crime and apprehend criminals committing crimes would take them out of the office (or Dunkin Donuts) and put them at risk of doing something.

BUT WAIT!!! Sean Hannity isn't a total homophobic pig! NOOOOOO!!! This can't be right!!! According to the far-left gay rights liberal play book: Sean lynches the gays on weekends, supports the gay internment camps, and is probably gay himself!!! INTERNALIZED SELF-HATRED AND ALL!!! This makes no sense. How are all the gays going to feel now that they can't blame all there problems on the homophobes at FOX NEWS!
I have faith though... the lefties will find someone else to blame...

Those GAYdar people can't spell. I spotted two typos in the short show description you quote. But, if it's a reality show production values are probably low, so they can't afford copy editors...

The Thai "cowboy" film, Tears of the Black Tiger, was made years before Brokeback Mountain. It just was never released in the US.

I appreciate what Jones did for America but he had to know that his claiming to be a prostitute and providing drugs (or the connection to drugs) wasn't legal. Or are we giving him (and those of you who don't see this point) too much credit?
Posted by: Steve | Nov 28, 2006 2:52:37 PM
I mean it was a good movie and all but do I really need 'collectible post cards'?
Posted by: Trask | Nov 28, 2006 2:54:30 PM
Let's stop lionizing these dumb whores. Whistle-blower or not, Mike Jones is so undeserving of a fund-raiser (did I read that recently??), it actually makes me want to switch sides and hate on gay people, too. Flame away, but, really, I have no respect for Mr. Jonea and his ilk. Talk about base.
(Secretly, of course, I am gleeful he ratted on Haggard. Just wuld prefer to have been an investment banker. Color me elitist.)

Hannity may acknowlege his gay fans (though doesn't want them to be able to legally marry) but I'm not nominating him for grand marshall in the gay pride parade any time soon. Don't get too gaga over his tepid support of his gay fans.
Posted by: Daniel | Nov 28, 2006 3:19:19 PM
Yeah! That stupid whore got what was coming to him - he should know that taking money for sex is illegal. (sarcasm, whatever.)
All you Mary, Mary, Quite Contrarians just slay me. You do know that just sucking a dick in Colorado about 20 years ago would have gotten you arrested too, right?
Posted by: Rey | Nov 28, 2006 3:31:07 PM
The GAYDAR reality show sounds pretty lame. Why would any self-respecting gay man want to go on a show and act straight just so he can later be outed or out himself, in order to cause some groans and giggles. Rather sophomoric, and hardly gay-friendly. I'll pass.

Mark. Mark. Mark. How many razorblades do we have to send you before you use them as we've asked?
Posted by: Leland | Nov 28, 2006 3:51:57 PM
Ok, everyone is missing the most important news item on this particular list: Britney is running around Hollywood with Skank Hilton and has now taken to flashing her girl bits to the photographers.
My question? Were we expecting too much from this "country" girl when you broke up with Federjerk or did we give her too much credit to begin with?

Leland once again you beat me to the punch over that idiot Mark.
"INTERNALIZED SELF-HATRED AND ALL!!! This makes no sense. How are all the gays going to feel now that they can't blame all there problems on the homophobes at FOX NEWS!"
Mark if anyone is suffering from self-hatred it is you and the rest of the Log Cabin, Fox loving fools. It is not just the love fest Fox has with the GOP and the blind faith in this failed war, it is almost everything they say and stand for.

And they cancelled Arrested Development!
Posted by: JT | Nov 28, 2006 4:35:06 PM
You're all GREAT AMERICANS! (Except that birdbrain Leland)
Posted by: SeanHannity | Nov 28, 2006 5:53:41 PM
You tell em, JT. And they aired Firefly out of order.
Posted by: EireKev | Nov 28, 2006 6:04:28 PM
Martin C: I think it's the latter.
Jeff: How many closeted pastors do you know who seek out investment bankers for gay sex? Cut Jones some slack.

Pats & Lele!
thanks for the kind words-as always you two are real gentlemen.
Leland you prove my point for me when you quote from your gay/liberal far-left handbook: "It is not just the love fest Fox has with the GOP and the blind faith in this failed war, it is almost everything they say and stand for."
Almost Everything they say and stand for??? WOW! talk about generalizations! It is a funny quark of fate when Sean Hannity is proven to be more INCLUSIVE then the gays on this site!
thanks Andy!
Posted by: mark | Nov 28, 2006 6:44:55 PM
Thanks Mark for once again showing your stupidity. It was me who wrote the quote, not Leland, though we often do agree that you are a complete jackass.
And perhaps could you have meant 'a funny quirk' not quark? How old are you? Perhaps you should show your posts to your Mommy and Daddy before you submit them.
Posted by: patrick nyc | Nov 28, 2006 7:07:19 PM
I'm no gentleman, Mark? Stop, stop, you're breaking my heart. Read this slowly, Tread Marks: attempting to reduce the discussion of civil rights and the quality of our lives, even, at times, our personal safety, to the mere level of rules of etiquette, which fork to use, what colors are acceptable after Labor Day, blah blah, is a tactic that, I admit, the Repugs have been using successfully for decades. Our "leaders" have been playing by the Right's rules for so long their balls have shrunk back up into their abdominal cavities. But don't confuse me with those castrati. I have no delusions of the real world consequence of anything written here beyond the hope that it might awaken/encourage some to stop putting up with expensive impotence from them and flatulence from people like you. Catch me on the street sometime, however, and start screeching your "far-left gay rights liberal" epithets and I'll knock your Bush-fucked ass back to Germany circa 1932. How do you look in brown? In any case, you should feel right at home.
Posted by: Leland | Nov 28, 2006 7:32:43 PM
OOPS Patty, i did it again! Drove you to crazy town and back again... it's been my pleasure!
you continue to prove my point... you can only respond with insults and attacks! Cause you got no/know argument baby!
You boys here bash the shit out of Sean and Rush-you assume they are major homophobes... BUT, when Andy posts evidence to the contrary, you throw a tantrum! Because it doesn’t fit into your ultra left-wing radical agenda! It’s hard to be “the victim” of Sean Hannity’s SUPER ANTI-GAY ATTACKS, when the man invites the GBLT community to his site for dating services.
Boy o’ Boy Pats! You are a really tough guy... pointing out my bad spelling...WOWZA! what an intellect! What a debater! how did you get so quick/quark witted my friend?
(that’s a rhetorical question Pats, no need to respond.)
And Leland, you peacenik... now you are threatening me with actual physical violence. Leland you are spiralling out of control my friend!
and as far as your shallow threats... Well, Come and get it!
Posted by: mark | Nov 28, 2006 8:06:45 PM
Mark, when you take your act on the road I have a suggestion for your make up--paint your ears red--it would be a funny statement--though subtle for a general audience.
Posted by: Daniel | Nov 28, 2006 8:17:01 PM
Hannidate?! I think I'd rather Hanni-kill myself.
