  2. And here I was still holding out hope that Newsom played for our team, I guess he is another one I can cross off my wish list.

  3. The Wisconsin section of this post isn't quite right, actually. $5 million was spent total by both sides. The anti-amendment (pro-gay) side spent the huge majority of that money, over $4 million. The pro-amendment side spent about $600,000 total, $200,000 went into their single TV ad. And they won 59%/41%.

  4. I know--how dare Hudson be angry at a show in which she was insulted week after week and then voted off in advance of some truly dreadful singers. She should be saying how greatful she is to Simon for insulting the way she looks week after week.

  5. "caught" is unintentionally misleading, both as a present tense verb and in terms of the ultimate way the past affair found its way into the public eye: the woman involved privately confessed to her husband as a part of her "make amends" responsiblities in a substance abuse program. There was no "in flagrante" as much as one might enjoy fantasizing about that.

Newsom's mayoral predecessor fathered a child with a married woman while in office; the former mayor of nearby San Jose confessed to an "illicit" affair, Guiliani is campaigning for Pres arm-in-arm with the woman he abandoned his wife for while NYC mayor [briefly living with two gay friends didn't ease the pain to his wife and son], and Nuke Gingrich had a succession of extra-marital affairs, informing one wife he was dumping her while she was in the hospital being treated for cancer.

However human [and straight or Bi or whatever], and, irregardless of his "hotness" or lack of same, Newsom remains the best mayor San Francisco has ever had relative to LGBT lives, and in many other ways, too. And, he, along with Feingold and but a small handful of others, remains the best political hope for LGBT's future. Those eager to tear down any "hero" just because they can should remember that.

  6. Thank you Andy for posting about the Blogger receiving the threat from the Philly meat man. This type of hateful behavior should not be tolerated. The blogger has updated this story several times on his site and the details about this "meat man" are horrendous. I have posted something on my site as well to bring more awareness. This type of behavior needs to stop!

  7. It's clear from the meat man's use of the phrase "gay LITTLE body" that he's under the assumption that all homosexuals are small and frail.

I'd like for him to look this 6'1" 220 lb FAG in the eyes and say the same thing. I'd hate for his kids to have to watch some faggot break every bone in their daddy's body.

  9. Poor Jennifer, the American Idol victim. Too bad it's turned out so horribly for her.

  10. KJ,

I think you're missing the whole point of that quote. Regardless, J.Hud is kickin' BUTT and she'll be around when Ruben , Fantasia, Clay and Taylor are gone.
