In addition to having to suffer through ongoing homophobic jokes, a Vancouver firefighter claims he was passed over for promotion because he is gay: "I have been told by others in the fire department that the chief has said, `I would not want someone like that in an officer's position."

John MacKenzie did a brave thing by standing up to the anti-gay sentiment in the fire department.
I don't understand the drug use in the gay community. I've never used or ever will use drugs. There is no need to.

1 in 10 gay guys are using meth in LA? You guys reckon it's the same in NYC? I'm thinking of moving there next year...
Here in Denmark, drug use is practically unheard of, outside of watery carlsberg.

I don't understand the push for marriage in the gay community. I've never been married, never will be. There is no need to.

24Play, that's your prerogrative. But don't project your feelings about marriage to countless gay couples who DO want - and deserve - equal treatment under the law.
As for "no need to be", over 1,000 federal rights and tax benefits we lose by not being recognized by the U.S. say otherwise.

Madonna and hip hop? At a loss for words on that one. Larry Birkhead, what in the world did she see in this guy? Now that he's rich, will this whole story go away so this poor woman can rest in peace, and maybe he can lose those silly self applied highlights in his hair?
And, just what is wrong with these guys in Hollyweird? 1 in 10 using meth??? I guess the only ones who will benefit from this is a dentist, and folks who treat paranoia and that thing where they end up picking thier skin off, and then the spread of diseases, meth does not play and I thought everyone knew this.

I think Larry has been threw enough and all the lies that are being told need to stop. I also hope that Larry carrys out Anna's wish about her mother not seeing the baby. I think it is very sad for a father to have to go threw this to get his child and be smeared all over every magazine there is. Larry seems like he will be a very good father and people need to stop trying to get rich off of Anna. Let her rest in piece.
